Leilani, however, keenly sensed the shift in his attention and followed his gaze, frowning slightly.

Carola? Why was she here?

Carola had just entered the restaurant, looking for her date, when her gaze swept across the room and suddenly froze. “Isn’t that Leilani?”

She narrowed her eyes. When she saw the man opposite Leilani clearly, her eyes went wide. “Wait… that’s…”

The man’s profile was chiseled and deep, his aura noble. Even just sitting there casually, he exuded a presence that couldn’t be ignored. How could a man like that be with Leilani?

Carola’s heart raced. She immediately took out her phone and dialed Tamara.

“Tamara! Guess who I saw?” she whispered excitedly. “Leilani! She’s eating with a super handsome guy!”

On the other end, Tamara reacted instantly. “Who? Leilani?”

When did she hook up with someone else?

“Do you recognize the man?” Tamara pressed.

“I don’t know him, but he’s definitely someone important!” Carola pouted jealously. “Leilani really has tricks. Just out of prison and she hooks a man of this caliber.”

Tamara was silent for two seconds before her voice suddenly turned gentle. “Carola, send me the address. I’m coming right over.”

Carola was stunned. “You’re coming?”

“Yes,” Tamara chuckled lightly. “After all, she is my sister. I have to show some concern.”

Twenty minutes later, Tamara appeared at the restaurant entrance. It was obvious she had dressed up specifically for this, wearing a white lace dress with her hair down and exquisite makeup, looking pure and innocent.

As soon as she entered, she locked onto Leilani’s table and walked over with feigned surprise.

“Leilani? What a coincidence!”

Her voice was crisp, as if it were truly a chance encounter.

Leilani looked up, a trace of coldness and impatience flashing in her eyes.

Coincidence? There were so many high-end restaurants in this city, and she just happened to “bump into” her here?

Callahan also frowned slightly, sweeping a cold glance over Tamara.

Tamara’s heart skipped a beat when she saw him. Her cheeks flushed slightly. This man… was even more handsome than Carola had described over the phone.

Wait! Tamara looked at Callahan and felt strangely familiar. Suddenly, she realized. The man who had

helped Leilani chase away Clive at Celestial Heights was him! So his relationship with Leilani really wasn’t ordinary.

But why Leilani? someone who had spent four years in prison should be despised and abandoned by everyone. Yet Leilani was living so freely!

Tamara suppressed her jealousy and smiled sweetly at Leilani. Pretending not to notice the stagnant atmosphere, she leaned in affectionately. “And this is?”

Leilani set down her cutlery, showing her absolutely no courtesy. “We aren’t close. Don’t call me that.”

Leilani’s temper was still as hard and foul as ever. Tamara’s smile stiffened, and she bit her lip as if aggrieved. “You’re my sister… how can we not be close…”

She turned her gaze to Callahan, acting innocent. “Sir, please don’t misunderstand. My sister has a bit of a temper, but she’s actually a good person…”

Callahan didn’t even lift his eyelids. He continued cutting his steak as if the person in front of him was air.

Seeing that neither of them was playing along, Tamara felt like she was performing for an empty room. She felt embarrassed but forced a smile. “Leilani, when are you coming home? Mom is very worried about you. She said… she’s afraid you’re being kept by someone.”
