Leilani paused in her movements, a playful glint in her eyes. Callahan had actually agreed to the blind date? She was rather looking forward to seeing the expression on his face when he realized his blind date was her.

“Sure,” she chuckled, her voice soft and clear. “See you in a week, then.”

Hanging up, Leilani walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking out at the city lights, her fingers tracing the edge of her phone, the smile in her eyes deepening.

Callahan returned to Celestial Heights, his finger hesitating for a split second over the button for Leilani’s floor. Floor 18, Leilani’s home.

He frowned slightly, suppressing the inexplicable restlessness in his heart. His finger moved up, and the button for the 19th floor lit up.

Exiting the elevator, Callahan walked straight to his apartment. He sat on the sofa, rubbing his brow in exhaustion. After meeting this “Ms. Cheney,” the matter would be settled once and for all.

After returning to the country, Leilani’s life remained fast-paced and low-key. By day, she organized the herbs she brought back from Zamora at home, occasionally logging onto the dark web to take a few special orders. The two orders she had taken previously had resulted in a 100% satisfaction rate, making her medical skills famous in the dark web circles, flooding her private inbox with requests.

On her second day back, Leilani looked at the bags of gifts and specialties she had set aside. while unpacking. These were for Dante, Tilda, Judie, Libby, and Letty. After getting out of prison, they were among the few who had shown her kindness. Dante and Tilda’s affection for her was obvious, and she cherished it. As for Judie, Libby, and Letty, they had bought her so many clothes before she left. Returning from Zamora, she naturally had to bring back local specialties and gifts to express her gratitude and courtesy.

That evening, carrying several exquisite gift boxes, she called Judie to ask where she was so she could drop off the gifts and treat her to dinner. Judie enthusiastically sent her location.

Half an hour later, Leilani arrived at the central commercial district.

“Leilani!” Seeing her, Judie pounced excitedly, giving her a huge hug. “You’re finally back! I missed

you to death!”

Leilani laughed at her enthusiasm and handed over the boxes. “This is what I brought back from Zamora for you, your mother and your aunt.”

“Wow! Gifts!” Judie’s eyes sparkled. She took the boxes and stroked them admiringly. “Don’t worry, I’ll hand them over to them exactly as they are! What’s inside?” Judie weighed the

boxes, noting they weren’t particularly heavy.

Leilani smiled. “Nothing expensive, just some specialty herbs and aromatherapy from Zamora. Little things to help regulate the body.”

Judie had experienced Leilani’s medical skills firsthand. She leaned close to Leilani, her eyes curving into crescents. “Leilani, you’re too thoughtful toward us. My mom and aunt were just raving about how awesome and effective that calming drink from you was!”
