Chapter 158
Chapter 158:
Smiling, Selena greeted Ashton. “Ashton, the choir has been putting in a lot of effort during rehearsals recently. Tomorrow’s the weekend, so we’re planning to take a stroll and unwind. We’d love for you to join us. They were worried you might say no, so they sent me to ask. What do you say, Ashton? Will you come with us tomorrow?”
The students behind Selena nodded eagerly, each of them looking at Ashton with hopeful eyes.
Selena had been spending her time after classes recuperating at the Campbell family’s manor. Though she was improving, the monotony of her days at home was wearing on her.
After pondering the situation, Ashton found himself unable to decline. He nodded, his smile broadening as he agreed, “Okay, see you tomorrow!”
The choir students erupted in cheers at his response. It appeared that the prospect of an outing with him was more thrilling than their successful performance.
Indeed, by the following day, the choir members had already assembled at the school gate well before the scheduled time.
For this occasion, Ashton had opted to rent a standard SUV rather than using his luxury car. His vehicle was too small to fit everyone, and he preferred a more understated approach for the day. He had assumed the rental would suffice for him and a few choir students.
However, upon his arrival at the gate, he was surprised to find not only the choir members and Selena waiting but also Rosalie. Selena, a recognized beauty at the university, already turned heads at the school gate. Now, with Rosalie, whose allure was even more striking and mature, joining Selena, they created an enchanting spectacle.
The pair drew admiring glances from fellow students and passersby, making the school gate a hub of whispered compliments and curious stares.
Several passers-by paused to admire the two strikingly beautiful Campbell sisters as they surveyed the surroundings outside the gates of Inewood University.

Unaware of their identities, some bold individuals ventured to approach them, only to be politely but firmly turned away.
Among the onlookers was a man, freshly arrived in a gleaming luxury car, confident that his charm would captivate the ladies.
However, to his dismay, he found himself ignored by the sisters, much to his chagrin and the crowd’s amusement.
Curiosity rippled through the onlookers, eager to discover which affluent man the sisters were awaiting.
Then, from the hum of the bustling street, an unassuming car pulled up nearby. Out stepped Ashton, his good looks at odds with his outdated vehicle.
Those who had just witnessed the rejection of the rich man scoffed at his audacity.
If the sisters had ignored that luxury car, how could this young man with his old car possibly impress them?
A well-meaning bystander approached Ashton just as he stepped out of his car and cautioned him, “Young man, those ladies are quite dismissive. They even turned away someone in a luxury car. Your outdated ride might not impress them, so perhaps it’s best not to bother. I must admit, you’re quite a looker, but charm alone isn’t enough these days. Heed my advice—save yourself the embarrassment.”
