Wade, sensing the growing tension, was on the verge of proposing a relocation to another campsite when several brawny men from the group walked over and formed a tight circle around them.
With beads of sweat forming on his brow, he attempted to ease the tension with a conciliatory grin.
“Sorry, gentlemen, we weren’t aware this area was claimed. We’ll just head out,” he stated.
As he spoke, Wade nervously pulled out a pack of high-quality cigarettes and offered them to the men as a peace gesture. The men accepted the cigarettes, but then, they pushed Wade abruptly to the ground.
“This is the territory of the Black Dragon Gang. You think you can just stroll in and out as you please? Here’s the deal: make your pretty friends keep our boss company. If he isn’t pleased with them, none of you will get out of here alive!”
The revelation that they were confronting members of the Black Dragon Gang—a notoriously vicious local outfit—sent a wave of terror through the students.
Realizing they were outmatched by the hardened gang members, the students felt a chilling helplessness.
Wade’s heart sank with remorse. He had intended to create an impressive outing for Jenna, but had unwittingly led them straight into the lair of the Black Dragon Gang!
Amidst the engulfing fear, Ashton, who had been sorting out camping equipment nearby, caught wind of the escalating trouble and hurried over to assess the situation.
As Ashton noticed his students cornered by the burly men, his expression darkened. He firmly ordered, “Stop ruining our trip. Keep doing this and I’ll make sure you people will regret ever crossing me.”
The gang members’ demeanor quickly darkened at Ashton’s bold challenge.

Meanwhile, Liam was losing patience as his men failed to bring the girls over.
He stood up and strode toward the unfolding scene, cursing, “You guys are worthless, can’t even handle a simple task. If you can’t manage to get a few college students, you shouldn’t call yourselves part of the Black Dragon Gang!”
However, Liam’s rant was cut short when he caught sight of Ashton among the students.
For a moment, he was stunned, and then his knees began to shake.
Internally, he cursed his luck, lamenting over his misfortune. The last person he wanted to encounter was Ashton. The man’s very image had tormented his sleep, and now, he was right there in front of him. This was far from the ordinary camping trip he had imagined.
Liam had always been the aggressor, never the victim.
