Chapter 202
Chapter 202:
Ashton raised an eyebrow, his gaze cold. “Pull the shards out and reassemble it. You have two and a half minutes left. If you don’t succeed, all the shards of the knife will remain inside you.”
Despite his earlier bravado, Roger paled at the thought of Ashton’s cruel ultimatum, tears of distress welling in his eyes.
The subordinates, groaning on the floor, were terrified. Ashton’s method of torment was beyond their imagination.
He appeared clean-cut and harmless, but his actions revealed a different, more formidable side.
Roger wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, his hands trembling as he tried to remove the shards embedded in his thigh.
But all he saw were bleeding wounds; the shards were deeply lodged inside.
Removing them would be agony!
Meanwhile, Ashton checked his phone nonchalantly, counting down the three minutes he had given Roger. Watching the seconds tick away, Roger felt a sense of despair.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps neared the door.
After exiting the office, Rosalie had planned to call the police, but the project manager had already beaten her to it.
Out of breath and anxious, Rosalie led the police to the scene, hoping desperately that Ashton was unharmed despite facing a gang of thugs alone.
Although she knew Ashton was capable, the sight of armed gang members had hinted at a grave threat.
However, when Rosalie burst through the door, her eyes widened in shock. There stood Ashton, casually leaning against a desk, the last man standing.

Roger and his men were sprawled on the floor, groaning in defeat.
In just a matter of minutes, Ashton had single-handedly subdued the threatening gang.
At the sight of the police, Roger didn’t react with nervousness like he did in the past but instead clung to them with hope, crying out, “Officers, thank goodness you’re here! This man has assaulted us. He’s beaten us mercilessly!”
The officers looked around, baffled. Were these tough-looking men really complaining about violence and cruelty?
It seemed almost surreal.
However, the captain, Mylo Hampton, recognized Ashton immediately.
He had led the investigation into the recent assassination attempt in the southern suburbs. Thanks to Ashton, the students were safe.
For this, Mylo held Ashton in high regard and looked up to him.
With a smile, Mylo walked over to Ashton and greeted him warmly. “It’s great to see you again, Mr. Baldwin. How have you been? Did they hurt you at all?”
Ashton recognized Mylo instantly. “Thank you, I appreciate it. It was quite the ordeal, but I narrowly escaped and came through unscathed. No serious harm done,” he replied.
