With both of them accepting his invitation, Liam was thrilled at first, but then he hesitated, feeling a little embarrassed.
“Since I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf, I don’t want to touch any dirty money anymore. I would like to treat you with today’s wage, but I only have 200 dollars. It might not be enough for a fancy restaurant. I hope you don’t mind.”
Ashton shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. “It’s just a meal, nothing to fuss over. We can eat wherever you like.”
Rosalie chimed in, “I’ve heard about a cozy diner close by that serves great home-style cooking. I have been meaning to check it out. How about we go there?” Guided by Rosalie, the three of them made their way to a small restaurant nearby.
The place was alive with activity, its reputation for delicious food drawing in crowds. By the time they arrived, the restaurant was already packed to capacity. With no other choice, the trio found themselves settling at a small table outside the restaurant.
