Jacoby, smirking, responded from the side, “What are you trying to imply? Rolland is a famous architectural master in Tacland. What gives you the right to question him?”
Rolland, wearing a smug grin, added, “Her questions are beneath me. I won’t dignify them with a response. Your suspicions are even more absurd. My reputation in Tacland has been established for over ten years.”
With a flourish, Rolland pulled out his phone, already prepared, and displayed a website on the screen.
The page was filled with photos of Rolland alongside various celebrities from Tacland, each one a respected figure. The crowd quickly recognized the celebrities. This display swayed those who had been skeptical, leading them to accept Rolland’s claims.
Yet, Rolland did not anticipate that Ashton, a man who had spent over two decades in Tacland, would find this all laughably transparent.
