Chapter 411
Chapter 411:
Just as he reached out to Levi, Ashton’s stern warning rang out. “If you want to kill your grandfather, go ahead and move him recklessly!”
Already desperate to impress, Craig’s frustration boiled over at Ashton’s comment. He spun around, glaring furiously at Ashton, and cursed, “You bastard who has no mother to raise you! I bet it’s your curse that has my grandfather in this state now!”
Ashton, usually unfazed by insults, found Craig’s words painfully reminiscent of the anguish of losing his mother as a child.
A brief flash of murderous intent crossed Ashton’s eyes as he struggled to control his anger but couldn’t resist striking Craig across the face and pushing him away from Levi.
Ashton retorted, “If I really had such powers, you, the fool, would have been the first to feel it!”
Hearing Ashton’s retort, the surrounding Carter family members were offended. It was their manor, and this bold young man was assaulting one member of the Carter family right in front of them.
But before they could voice their disapproval, Ashton yelled, “Everyone, if you still care about Levi’s life, move back and don’t block the air!”
For some reason, Ashton’s stern admonition halted the Carter family members in their tracks, casting a shadow of fear over them.
Yet, they were reluctant to let Ashton intervene with Levi. If anything were to go awry and Levi’s condition deteriorated, the repercussions for the entire Carter family would be severe.
Noticing their hesitation, Rosalie raised her voice, saying, “What are you all waiting for? Don’t just stand there, follow Ashton’s directions! He’s a qualified doctor, and he had already issued a warning before, which you all ignored—resulting in this crisis!”
Rosalie’s reminder jogged the Carter family members’ memories of the unsettling event before the meal. Recalling how Ashton’s earlier caution had nearly materialized, they were finally swayed. Given Levi’s critical state, it appeared doubtful he would survive until a doctor arrived.

With reluctance, the Carter family members gritted their teeth and stepped back. Nonetheless, they issued a grim warning. “We’ve followed your instructions for now, but if you don’t manage to save him, be ready to face severe consequences!”
At the Carter family estate, the family members were throwing around harsh threats. To an everyday person, those words would have been quite frightening. However, Ashton ignored these outbursts, not even giving a glance at the threats.
As he approached Levi to assess his condition, Ashton acted quickly. He turned and called out to Abrial, who was hesitating about whether to intervene.
“If you want your grandfather to survive, don’t just stand there. Come and help!” Ashton’s voice was low but urgent.
Abrial shook off her daze, sensing something unusual. She was used to giving orders, not receiving them. This was the first time she had been on the receiving end of a command.
Although slightly irritated, she noticed Ashton’s serious demeanor and his earnest desire to save her grandfather. This made Abrial push aside her annoyance and join Ashton.
