The bodyguards noticed Kirsten’s slight shift in direction but didn’t think much of it. They continued to shove people aside as they swaggered toward Ashton’s line.
The people at the back of the line didn’t make a fuss, either. Kirsten was a public figure, and they knew she wasn’t someone to mess with. So, they stepped aside without protest.
Finally, Kirsten reached Ashton. He noticed her and her bodyguards approaching, but he simply turned his head and looked at them. He had no intention of stepping aside.
When the bodyguards saw this, they immediately felt displeased. They stepped forward with aggression, scolding and cursing Ashton, then prepared to push him away as they had done to the others.
But before they could touch him, Ashton swiftly grabbed the wrist of the lead bodyguard and twisted it, causing the man to grimace in pain.
The surrounding crowd was so shocked that they screamed.
Ashton then glanced at Kirsten beside the bodyguard and snorted coldly,
“You are indeed a superstar. Look at how big your entourage is. There was a special path for someone like you, but you deliberately didn’t take it. Instead, you squeezed yourself into the crowd to cut through the line. Is there any problem with your legs that you can’t walk straight?”
Kirsten’s face flushed with anger and embarrassment. She clenched her fists tightly, seething at Ashton. How dare he mock her in front of her bodyguards and the onlookers!
Kirsten couldn’t help blaming her bodyguards inwardly. They were a bunch of cowards who could only bully the weak but feared the strong. They had burly bodies, yet only had the guts to push around ordinary people. When they encountered someone who fought back, they immediately backed down. They had completely embarrassed her.
She was so furious that she kept cursing in her heart.

She had planned to take her revenge secretly, to make Ashton understand that he shouldn’t have insulted her in the first place.
But now, she could only watch as her bodyguard was subdued by Ashton. And to make matters worse, Ashton’s words made sense. Everything was her fault. After all, she hadn’t followed the prescribed route. He had only defended his rights as one of the visitors to the TV station.
She wanted to argue, but for a moment, she couldn’t find a suitable reason. She just stood there, looking embarrassed and helpless.
Kirsten was at a loss for words, not knowing how to refute Ashton. But suddenly, the fans who had been rudely pushed away by her bodyguards stood up for her.
Despite the treatment they had received, they started scolding Ashton harshly instead of supporting him.
“Kirsten just accidentally took the wrong path. None of us blamed her. Why are you so hard on her? You’re being so fussy. You make it look like she intentionally did it.”
“That’s right! Kirsten accidentally went the wrong way because she was thinking about us. She wanted to get closer to us because she knew we were her fans. In fact, she’s been smiling at us all along.”
