Ashton, why don’t we invite Selena to be our brand ambassador? We’ve been in Staville for some time now, so it’s a great chance to check on her health, too.”
Ashton considered and calculated the days since he had last checked on Selena. By now, Selena’s health must have significantly improved.

It was Selena’s first time venturing so far alone, and fear had her frozen in place.

“Ashton!” she called out in relief, sprinting toward him like a bird finding refuge in a storm, hiding behind him. The young ruffians, seeing their prey slip through their fingers, were none too pleased.
They swaggered over to Ashton and Selena, with one of them jeering, “Hey man, your girlfriend is really attractive. How about letting us hang out with her for a couple of days, and you can head out?”
