The woman quickly became irritated and snapped, “Hey! Why are you asking who I am? Didn’t you invite me here? After I traveled all the way to Staville because you asked, now you act like you don’t know me?”
Ashton’s confusion deepened, and he shook his head. “I have no memory of meeting you. You must have me confused with someone else.”
The woman scoffed and retorted sarcastically, “Confused? Who else here could I possibly confuse you with? I’m Keira Barnes. You’ve been begging me to visit Staville, and now you suddenly can’t remember? Oh, I see, you’re hesitating now because I asked for a nice dinner, right? You don’t want to own up because you can’t cover the cost? I fell for the luxury cars and watches you flaunted in your online posts, mistaking you for some wealthy heir. It turns out you’re just a broke pretty face!”
Convinced of her mistake, Ashton realized she had definitely confused him with someone else. Initially, he wanted to address the situation calmly, but her condescending tone quickly lost his patience. He replied sharply, “Enough. I don’t have time for these games. Please step aside!” He then returned his attention to his phone, continuing his message to Rosalie.
Keira, known for her beauty and often pursued by men, had cultivated a rather opportunistic and entitled demeanor.
Witnessing Ashton’s dismissive reaction, she felt both humiliated and enraged, gearing up to challenge him further. She clenched her teeth and lashed out, “What’s with that attitude, you jerk? You act wealthy online but you’re really broke? Your cheap clothes give you away. You’re a total loser! What rotten luck I have, bumping into someone like you trying to con me for sex! Now you won’t even look at me? Clearly, you have no success with women. A stunning woman like me travels all this way and you can’t even scramble to impress me? A good-looking face won’t help you attract any women!”
Ashton continued to disregard the irrational woman, focusing intently on his phone.
Just then, Selena, emerging from the restroom, caught the tail end of Keira’s rant.

This girl, though not as fully grown as her sister, was showing remarkable promise. As soon as this thought crossed his mind, Ashton quickly reminded himself that she was his girlfriend’s sister and that he needed to act appropriately.
Ashton attempted to gently pull away from Selena’s grasp, only to find her hold tightening, almost pinning his arm.
Keira was momentarily taken aback by Selena’s innocent yet commanding presence.
