Chapter 527:

Ashton watched Beal’s futile attempts to squirm out of the situation, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

“Arresting a dangerous terrorist like you is entirely justified. I could have shot you on sight, and it would’ve been well within my rights. But because I’m feeling generous, I’m giving you a chance to turn things around,” Ashton said, his voice cold and deliberate.

Feigning confusion, Beal scoffed, “What on earth are you talking about? I’m the general manager of Sup Group! You’re accusing me of being a terrorist? Just because you can’t take down the Marquez family, you think you can intimidate me with these pathetic tricks? I’m not afraid of you!”

Ashton’s expression hardened. “Still putting on a tough front, are we? Fine. Let me show you exactly why you’re in this mess.” With that, Ashton slammed a pile of printed communications onto Beal’s chest—their contents seized from the three captured assassins.

The moment Beal’s eyes fell on the damning evidence, his bravado shattered, and he fell into a heavy silence.

“They’re locked up right now, on the other side of this station,” Ashton continued, his voice sharp. “If you don’t confess to hiring them for murder, once all the evidence piles up, your situation will only get worse.”

Ashton pointed to the cell in front of Beal. “And you know who I have to thank for this? Your dear brother. If it weren’t for him, I might not have been able to bring those assassins in.”

At this, Beal’s eyes darted to the cell in front of him, and he saw Jacoby—his brother, sitting silently within.

Rage flared in Beal’s eyes, and without thinking, he kicked the bars of the cell in fury.

Jacoby, lost in his own thoughts, snapped back to reality, his anger flaring like wildfire.

He had almost died alongside Ashton, and now his elder brother had the audacity to act as if it were his fault! Beal treated him like he was nothing, and that betrayal stung deeply. In a fit of rage, Jacoby, ignoring his injuries, surged to his feet, slamming his body against the cell bars as though he was ready to tear into Beal.

“How could you do this to me, Beal? I trusted you, and you repay me like this? Fine! If you want me dead, you won’t get off easy either!” Jacoby’s voice shook with fury, each word spat through clenched teeth.

Beal took a few steps back, his face twisting with anger as he rebuked, “Jacoby, shut up! You don’t get to talk to me like that. We have to think about the future of the Marquez family!” The cold, threatening glare from Beal sent a chill down Jacoby’s spine, and slowly, his fiery anger began to cool.

Reality hit him hard—if he lost control and let slip what Fraser was planning, it would be a disaster. If Fraser got wind of it and managed to escape, the entire Marquez family would be at risk. If that happened, Jacoby knew he would be the one to bear the blame, the one branded as the family’s greatest sinner.

With that grim realization, his fierce resolve crumbled, and he slumped back onto the bed in his cell, looking utterly defeated. Ashton, watching closely, sensed Beal’s warning to Jacoby. But he wasn’t concerned—Jacoby was nearing his emotional breaking point, and Ashton was confident it was only a matter of time before he got the information he needed.
