But Ashton knew Rosalie was only teasing him, so he played along. “How can that be possible? Can I do it in broad daylight?”

Rosalie chided playfully, “Who knows if an incorrigible flirt like you actually does it? I’ve been away from Staville for a while. You and Abrial must have been having a good time.”

Ashton wanted to vehemently deny it. But suddenly, the moment he had just shared with Abrial flashed in his mind, making him feel a bit guilty.

Still, he explained in a low voice, “No, don’t believe Fraser’s words. You know what kind of person he is. Rest assured, Abrial and I are just friends.”

Rosalie chuckled and said teasingly, “I always have the feeling that Abrial wants to flirt with me. But since she is also a woman, I can’t do anything to her. So, I won’t mind if you two have an affair.”

Ashton laughed awkwardly. “By the way, why did you call? I hope not just to talk about this.”
