Over the years, they hardened, causing blockages. When he became angry, it disrupted the blood flow from his heart, leading to a lack of oxygen in his brain, which caused him to faint.”
Ashton’s expertise stemmed from personal experience—his own grandfather, Ennis, had suffered a similar condition.
It was this that had driven Ashton to apprentice under Gustave, and vascular treatment was one of his fortes.
Using acupuncture and targeted massage techniques, Ashton began to ease the tension in the vessels near Levi’s heart, gradually restoring blood flow throughout his body.
However, as the blood resumed circulation, the process caused Levi visible pain, his face tightening in discomfort. Oblivious to the true nature of the treatment, some Carter family members misinterpreted his grimace as a sign of failure. Before they could finish, Levi suddenly coughed violently, interrupting the doubter.
Moments later, he spat out a mouthful of clotted blood that had likely been accumulating for years. With a few groans, his eyes fluttered open.

Ashton’s treatment had given Levi renewed strength, and he stood taller, his voice booming louder than before. Pointing a finger at Craig’s parents, Levi reprimanded, “You two are nothing but troublemakers! Thanks to Abrial’s partnership with Ashton, our family is thriving, yet you still have the audacity to call them jinxes? If you’re so capable, why don’t you put your skills to use for the family’s good instead of stirring up conflicts?”
Momentarily flustered, Braden quickly recovered, letting out a cold snort. “Dad, maybe you’re not fully aware. The reason we’re concerned is because of that company they’ve built together. The three major families see it as a threat and want to take control. But instead of handing it over, those two went and offended them.”
