Abrial was about to retort when Ashton suddenly sneered, “I think that description fits you better. Without Hawthorne, who are you? You are nothing but a small fry.”
His words made Lucretia’s face turn livid with anger. Her eyes blazed with fury, and she clenched her fists tightly, on the verge of charging at Ashton.
