Chapter 1074
With a crack, the chilling sound of shin bone breaking rang out. Denny rolled his eyes and slowly started falling backward.
Sebastian glanced at Matthew, as though he was asking, "Is this enough?"
Matthew turned and made his way inside the hospital. Seeing this, Sebastian pointed at the people by the door and shouted, "What are you staring at? Pick him up and get lost!"
With that, Sebastian hurried after Matthew.
Realizing that Matthew and Sebastian were gone, Laslo knew he was no longer in danger. He held his stomach and went back to check on Denny.
Denny collapsed on the ground, his shins fractured. Blood poured out from the injury, soaking his clothes and spilling onto the ground. It was a horrifying sight.
Laslo was glad that he didn't jump to the front, or he'd be the one in trouble. But now what should he do?
After thinking about it, he turned to the nearby security guards. "Hurry up and get him in the car. We need to take him back to the hospital."
Everyone was scrambling to pick up Denny, and the motion woke him up. The pain from his broken bones hit him hard.
Denny was about to lose his mind. Looking at the guards carrying him, he snapped, "My leg! Don't touch me. Dammit! Stop!"
Upon hearing that, Laslo reminded, "It's unsafe to stay around, Mr. Rouse. We should go."
Only then did Denny realize he hadn't left the place. He shouted, "Make it quick! Go easy on me. Damn. My leg. It hurts so much."
With all the swearing and screams of pain, the guards got Denny into the car. Laslo started the engine and floored the gas, speeding away.
After the car had hit the road for about 300 yards, Denny finally felt safe and started cursing without holding back. "Just you wait, Matthew. I swear I'm going to kill you, or I'll fucking disown myself."
The elevator arrived at the top floor.
Sebastian walked out of the elevator with Matthew, smiling as he remarked, "I've spoken to Silas. Hez supported the idea of exploring the Harmona Sect's medical approach, integrating traditional and modern medicinë. Unfortunately, we're also going up against the entire medical industry.
"Denny came after us because two of their key staff came in for interviews. If we make any progress in our research, we'll be facing attacks worse than what happened today. I'm a little worried."
Matthew hadn't thought much about it before. As a doctor, he liked the Harmona Sect and wanted to improve its medical technique.
Upon hearing Sebastian's words, Matthew figured they'd face more difficulties ahead, but he wasn't worried. "There's nothing to be afraid of. Just do it."
Sebastian clicked his tongue. Matthew had the right to say that, but it wasn't going to solve anything. However, he couldn't come up with a better idea either.
Both of them stayed quiet, their footsteps echoed loudly in the hallway. When they reached the meeting room door, it opened on its own, just before Matthew could touch it.
Renae showed up, smiling at Matthew. "Are you looking for me?"
Matthew chuckled. "That's right. I came to borrow money from you."
Renae was taken aback, then asked, "Are you short on cash? How much do you need? I've got some to spare."
Matthew was just joking around to change the subject. He didn't expect Renae to take him seriously and offer to lend him money.
He wiped the smile off his face and responded with a straight face, "K was joking, but I've got something serious to talk about. How's the the progress to combine traditional and modern medicine to treat colds?"
Renae smugly replied, "The results are in. We've figured out 16 ways to treat colds using traditional and modern medicine together, and they all work."
"Really?"
Matthew's face lit up with surprise. He'd always thought there was a huge difference between the two. Combining them would be difficult, like trying to bridge a huge chasm.
That was why he chose something as simple as cold. Even then, he wasn't expecting any breakthrough for at least a year or two. Who knew that Renae actually said they made findings in just two days?
Renae cheerfully added, "Of course. You've gathered top-notch traditional medicine practitioners and highly educated doctors proficient in modern medicines Everyone here has no trouble treating a cold. With so many pros working together, curing a cold is a walk in the park."
