"Nothing in there? If there's nothing, why are you protecting that medical cooler behind your back?" Matthew's expression turned cold as he approached step by step.

Vince's face paled as he realized his panicked grab for the cooler had exposed his true intentions. Though it was too late for regrets, he was not worried since Matthew was outnumbered, and security could arrive at any moment.

"The cooler contains imported medications," Vince said with a straight face. "They can't be exposed carelessly. I'm worried you'll damage them with your reckless behavior."

"Let's open it and see," Matthew replied in an icy tone.

Vince backed up two steps and sneered. "Opening the cooler will render the medications useless. Each dose costs tens of thousands of dollars. Can you afford to reimburse that?"

"I can pay them off right now," Matthew stated, anger flashing in his eyes. "Open the box!"

Upon seeing Matthew's determination, Vince started to panic. "I'm warning you—this is a hospital, an operating room. This isn't a place for your reckless behavior. Leave now, or I'll have you thrown out!"

Matthew's fury was building as his suspicions grew stronger. Every one of Vince's reactions seemed to confirm his worst fears. While the possibility terrified him, his anger drove him forward with a single thought he had to open that cooler.

"Call security!" Vince shouted to the other doctors as he backed away with the cooler. "Report this to Dr. Fern! Hurry!"

One of the doctors quickly dialed Timothy's number. "Dr. Fern, we have a situation. The patient's family broke into the OR and is trying to take the cooler. We need backup immediately!"

Timothy, sitting in his wheelchair with Dean and several security guards at the elevator, felt his heart race at the urgent call. "Don't let them get the cooler at any cost. We're on our way up."

As the elevator doors opened, Dean rushed to push Timothy's wheelchair inside, followed by the security guards with their equipment. Other patients waiting nearby backed away fearfully at the sight of the armed guards.

Once the elevator doors closed, Timothy hung up his phone and addressed the group. "Listen carefully—you're different from other security guards. You've been involved in the transport, payment, and cleanup stages, so you know how serious this is.

"If we're exposed, eliminate them directly. If the police ask, say these family members couldn't accept

their relative's death and became et

violent. You were maintaining hospital

order and accidentally used excessive force. There won't be

criminal charges."

"We've done this before, and it always worked," Dean added grimly.

Timothy nodded. "Good. But remember, don't hesitate. If it leaks out, you'll never recover. Make sure it's handled."

Dean tightened his grip on the rubber baton. "We've seen worse. Don't worry, Dr. Fern."

...

Back in the operating room, Vince

grew desperate as Matthew

approached. Since Timothy's

backup had not

1, he shouted

Fat the others, "Alf of you, grab

surgical tools and stop him! Now!"

The doctors armed themselves with whatever they could find. They used scalpels, hemostats, and even IV bottles to block Matthew's path.

"Get out of my way!" Matthew growled as he continued forward.

A tanned doctor in his 30s swung his scalpel at Matthew. "Stay back! If you come closer and get stabbed, it's your own fault!"

Matthew's face twisted into a mocking smile. "You're a doctor, meant to save lives. Yet, here you are, threatening to kill me?"

"Being a doctor is just a job, a way to make money," the doctor retorted. "Don't give me that noble profession bullshit! Take one more step, and I'll—”

Before he could finish his threat, Matthew's fist shot out like lightning, striking the doctor's temple. The scalpel clattered to the floor as the doctor collapsed.

Another doctor with hemostats panicked and began swinging wildly at Matthew. "I'll stab you! I'll kill you!"

His arm suddenly froze mid-swing as Matthew grabbed his wrist in an iron grip. "Let go!" the doctor screamed. "Do you have any idea what you're doing? You won leave. this hospital alive!"
