Garrett was adamant-Lena was never coming back into their lives.

His wife, Hattie, had made up her mind too. Lena had tried to destroy their family, and Hattie wasn't about to let her back in, not now, not ever.

Just then, Dorian sauntered in from outside. He'd already ditched his tie, and the top few buttons of his shirt were undone, giving him an air of casual elegance with a touch of mischief.

"Josie, that hacker friend of yours? They're seriously good."

Josefina, caught off-guard, scrambled to keep Sammuel's cyber dealings under wraps.

"Yeah, a friend recommended them. Great skills, fair price. And don't worry, once they took my job, they wouldn't dare work for our enemies."

Dorian nodded, clearly impressed. "Nice. Think you could introduce us? I could use someone with their talents."

"Well, Dorian, they're a bit of a recluse, prefer online interactions. How about I share your contact with them, and you two can connect that way?"

Meeting in person was off the table.

Dorian understood; the quirks of a hacker were no secret to him. As long as the job got done, he was satisfied.

Garrett chimed in, "Dorian, if Lena comes begging for money, don't give her a penny. I've cut off all her cards and frozen her bank accounts. There wasn't much in there, but I had our hacker friend lock it down anyway."

"Dad, I wouldn't give her the time of day. After what she did to Grandma, she should've seen this coming," Dorian replied, his voice cold and resolute.

United as a family, they felt unstoppable.

No one expected Lena to show up the very next day.

There she was, standing at the doorstep, confronted by bodyguards she didn't recognize.

She tried to enter, but the guards blocked her path.

"You have no right to stop Ms. Josefina! Do you want to get fired? Believe me, I can make that happen!" Lena fumed.

The bodyguards, hired by Josefina herself, were unyielding. They stood their ground, unfazed by Lena's outburst.

One of them looked at Lena with indifference. "Ms. Josefina of the Harrison family is one thing, but who are you? Some imposter trying to take her place? You're playing a dangerous game."

Lena was livid. "Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? I am Miss Josefina of the Harrison family. Now move!"

But no matter what Lena said, the guards wouldn't let her in.

As Lena reached for her phone, Josefina appeared.

"Is this your doing, Josefina? This is my house. How dare you keep me out! Don't think just because you're the biological daughter, you can take control. They're my parents too!"

Josefina stood with her arms crossed, dressed in a light blue dress, the epitome of grace and beauty.

"So? You still can't get in?"

Lena was seething, glaring at the unfamiliar guards and the smug Josefina.

"I'm calling Mom. She'll see what you're up to!"

"Don't bother. No one's going to pick up."

True enough, when Lena called Hattie, there was no answer. Panic set in the fear

of being forever shut out from the Harrisons' world.

She didn't want to lose the prestige of being Miss Josefina of the Harrison family, nor did she want to be cut off from the family.

"Why isn't Mom answering? Josefina, why are you doing this to me?"

With a cold laugh, Josefina said, "Grandma remembered what happened that night."
