Chapter 582

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

The three brothers each had their own plans, quietly going with the flow. But to everyone's surprise, Calix spoke up first.

"So, here's the thing," Calix started, and soon enough, everyone was laying out their plans.

The one who felt the cold sting of reality was Calix. He'd gotten his sister a gift, but the other two brothers? One was giving her a house, the other a robot. Were they trying to one-up him?

Before Calix could say anything, Josefina jumped in, “Guys, seriously, I already have a house, a car, and more clothes and bags than I know what to do with. No need to buy me more."

Dorian added, "Josie, this is just a little something from me. Please, take it."

Reid chimed in, "Sis, the robot's already being made."

Calix sighed, "Sis, your gift's in your room."

Josefina was left speechless. Her brothers were just too generous.

Out of nowhere, Grant felt a wave of animosity directed his way.

Josefina broke the tension by introducing everyone. "This is my brother Calix, and these are Dorian and Reid," she said, pointing to each.

Then she turned to her brothers, "Dorian, Reid, Calix, this is Grant. He's my master's foster son."

The three brothers greeted Grant one by one, all polite smiles.

Grant, trying to lighten the mood, offered, “If you guys ever find the time, come visit Rose Bay Island. I'd be happy to host."

Dorian responded with a hint of gratitude, “Thanks for looking after Josie. Now that she's home, we'll take good care of her."

Grant picked up on the undertone; Dorian was politely saying that they could handle Josie's care themselves.

Grant realized that not only was Oliver protective, but Josie's brothers were too.

With a smile, Grant said, "Knowing she's in your care puts my mind at ease. I've always thought a girl as wonderful as Josie must have loving parents and devoted siblings. It's great she's found her biological family, and my foster father and I can rest easy."

Josefina sensed the underlying tension between Grant and her brothers.

"Dinner's ready. Let's eat, Grant," she said quickly.

Grant nodded, and they all moved to the dining area.

The brothers settled down, chatting and eating breakfast, their movements light and relaxed.

...

After the meal, Dorian was surprised to learn that Grant had arrived driving Oliver's

car.

"Wait, you met Oliver?" Dorian asked, eyebrows raised.

"Yeah,” Grant replied, “The atmosphere was... intense.”

Outside, with Josefina out of earshot, Grant told Dorian that someone had approached him about going after Oliver.

"Look, I don't mean anything by this,"

Grant

yaid "just hope you can

to happen

I wouldn't want a

her

keep

Dorian hadn't expected people targeting Oliver to involve Grant.

"Thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep an eye on things and make sure Josie's safe," Dorian assured him.

Grant nodded and drove off.

As Josefina finished her conversation with Hattie and turned around, Grant was already gone.

Feeling a bit worried, Josefina looked to Dorian, who explained, "Grant said he had some things to take care of and had to leave early. He asked me to let you know."

Josefina couldn't see Grant's car anymore; he had already left.

"Josie, since Grant's taken care of you for so long, I'll have someone send over some of Westwood's specialties for him to take back to your master," Doran suggested

Josefina was surprised and grateful. “Thanks, Dorian."

Dorian smiled gently, "It's no trouble at all. Your friends are our friends. It's only right we send something back with him."

Josefina and Dorian exchanged a warm smile, looking every bit the picture of a harmonious and loving family.
