Chapter 596
Livia's words drifted over to Oliver as well.
"Josie, mind if I come find you?"
Josefina couldn't help but laugh as she shared her location with Livia. With a playful tone, Livia teased, "Josie, Oliver's really got a soft spot for you, huh?"
"How would you know? You've barely met him," Josefina retorted.
"Finley filled me in. He said Oliver's completely smitten. Never seen him fall so hard for anyone," Livia replied.
"Finley's quite the chatterbox, isn't he?" Josefina noted.
Livia burst out laughing. It was one of those joy-filled days.
...
When Oliver saw Josefina, he gently took her hand in his.
"Oliver, aren't you supposed to be at work today? I've only got half the day off; I need to head back to the office this afternoon," she said.
"If Josie's not working, then neither am I. I want to spend the whole day with you. Sounds good, right?" he said with a grin.
Josefina was momentarily speechless.
"How did you know I wasn't at the office, Oliver?" she asked.
"I called Kale, and he told me you took half the day off," Oliver explained.
Josefina shook her head with a smile, checking her phone to find a message from Kale she had missed earlier.
As they walked together, Josefina's phone rang again. This time, it was Dorian. "Josie, do you have some time today? Could you swing by my office at two?" "Dorian, what's up?"
"It's a personal matter. Can you make it?" Dorian's voice had a note of anticipation.
Josefina had never been to the Harrison family conglomerate, let alone Dorian's office.
"Dorian, see you at two," she agreed.
Though she wasn't sure what Dorian needed, if he was reaching out, it must be important.
After hanging up, Josefina turned to Oliver. "Sorry, I can't spend the whole day with you after all. Dorian's asked me to drop by his company."
"I'll come with you."
"That's not going to work. I'm visiting Dorian at his office. If you show up, who knows what the staff will think? They wonder if there's some big Shake-up happening
Oliver had no choice but to relent.
They reached the parking garage, and Josefina settled into the passenger seat, sipping on her iced latte.
Oliver leaned over and took a sip from her straw, wincing at the sweetness.
"Oliver, I've already drunk from that."
"What you've tasted, I can taste too," he said earnestly.
Josefina was at a loss for words.
"But you don't even like iced lattes."
Oliver chuckled affectionately, ruffling her hair, "I like anything you like."
He then took Josefina's hand and,
before she could ask what he was up to
sire a gold bracelet on kaset
wrist.

With a broad smile, he said, "I haven't forgotten my promise to give you gold every day."
His handsome face was inches from hers, and Josefina's heart skipped a beat.
Their eyes met, and Josefina's cheeks flushed red.
"Josie, are you blushing?"
She bowed her head, unable to meet Oliver's gaze again.
Facing those tender eyes, how could she not feel shy?
"Let's get going. Dorian's waiting," she murmured.
Oliver drove off with a smile, while Josefina sipped her latte, head down.
Upon reaching the parking lot, Josefina unbuckled her seatbelt. "I'll head up now; you should go back."
She stepped out of the car and
made her way into the company
After telling the receptionist she was,
there to see Dorian, someone
ushered her upstairs with utmost respect.
Josefina was curious what could Dorian possibly need to discuss with her?
