Chapter 597

After Josefina took the elevator up, the front desk became a hotspot of curiosity. Two women and a man were eagerly speculating about her identity.

"Do you think she's the CEO's girlfriend? She's absolutely stunning!"

"She looks more like a sister to me. Didn't you notice their eyes? They look kinda similar."

"Isn't Lena supposed to be the CEO's sister? Maybe this one's his secret lover?"

A guy nearby leaned in and whispered, "Are you guys serious? Haven't you heard the latest? Lena isn't the real Harrison heiress; she was switched at birth. My buddy in law enforcement told me she tried to steal the Harrison family fortune, got caught, and ended up taking her own life."

The women were floored, eyes wide with shock at the bombshell gossip.

"No way! That's insane!"

"Yeah, I always wondered. The CEO and his family treated Lena like royalty. He'd have his secretary stock up on all kinds of treats whenever she visited. They were so devoted to her, and now it turns out she was a snake in the grass."

"Blood ties, huh? Even your own kids can be a gamble, let alone someone else's."

"Shush, walls have ears," the man cautioned. They quickly dispersed, acting as if the conversation had never happened.

As soon as Josefina stepped out of the elevator, she was greeted by a man in a sharp suit who bowed slightly. "Ms. Josefina, welcome. I'm Mr. Lee, the CEO's executive assistant. He's waiting for you in his office."

With a warm smile, Josefina nodded. "Thank you, Mr. Lee."

"My pleasure, Ms. Josefina. This way, please."

Mr. Lee gestured for Josefina to follow him to Dorian's office on the 32nd floor, a floor exclusively for Dorian.

His office was spacious and stylishly decorated. Mr. Lee pressed the intercom at the door and announced, "Sir, Ms. Josefina has arrived."

"Go ahead with your other tasks," Dorian's voice responded from within.

"Right away, sir," said Mr. Lee respectfully before turning to Josefina. "Ms. Josefina, I'll take my leave now."

After a polite nod from Josefina, Mr. Lee departed. The office door swung open, revealing Dorian with a welcoming smile. "Josie, I was planning to come down, but got caught up in a video conference."

"Dorian, I can find my way just fine, don't worry. So, what's up? What did you need me for?"

"Josie, follow me."

Dorian led the way with a touch of mystery, and Josefina followed him to a room not far from his office.

He opened the door to reveal an office decked out in pink - even the office chair was pink.

"Josie, I had this office customized for you. From now on, when you're working with the company, this is where you'll handle business."

Josefina walked in, and Dorian

showed her to the adjoining lounge

area. A plush wool carpet covered the floor, a bed with pink linens sat in the confer, and there was a collection of pink plush toys on it.

Any little girl would probably adore such a super girly room.

"Dorian, the company's in good hands with you. I don't need to be here. Besides, I've got my hands full with other stuff and can't be tied down to the office Josefina gently declined the overly girlish office.
