Chapter 634

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Lying in bed, Josefina's mind was a whirlwind of worry for the injured Oliver. "You should take the bed, Oliver. The couch can't be all that comfy for sleeping."

But the couch in Josefina's room wasn't just any couch. It was wide, plush, and every bit as comfortable as a bed. The Harrison family had picked it out specifically for her, knowing she loved to lounge there, lost in her phone.

Feeling Josefina's concern, Oliver managed a smile. "Josie, how about we just share the bed?"

Josefina shot up, suddenly alert. "Oliver, you're hurt. How do you plan on hopping fences? Everyone's asleep; let me drive you out of here."

"No need. I'll jump the fence later and find a doctor. Josie, go back to bed. Don't worry about me."

But Josefina was having none of it. "No way. I'm driving you."

What Oliver wanted didn't matter; Josefina had made up her mind.

She helped Oliver into a shirt and jacket, ensuring every button was fastened.

Dragging him along, they went downstairs, took the elevator, and reached the underground garage. Josefina drove him away...

...

Dominic lay in the hospital, his right arm and abdomen bandaged and bleeding.

Shay and Sydney sat by his bed, their eyes fixed on him. Sydney's mood was particularly dark.

"Damn Oliver. It had to be him who sent those thugs! Why couldn't our guys finish him off? If Oliver were dead, this would all be over."

Propped up by pillows, Dominic's face was pale, but his eyes blazed with anger.

"I want to see if Oliver can dodge us a second time. As long as he and that old geezer are alive, I can't take over the company."

Sydney added, "That old coot was almost done for until Josefina stepped in. If it weren't for her, we wouldn't even hear from him!"

Shay kept quiet, well aware of how Josefina had saved Brandon, which led her to meet Oliver.

Shay had uncovered a lot; she knew everything about everyone.

"Mom, Oliver knows how to protect himself. Taking him down won't be easy."

Sydney's voice was laced with

frustration. "Billy's family tried to mess with Josefina, and look at them now-jailed or begging abroad. Idiotshy they could've handled

Josefina, none of this would be happening."

Dominic chimed in, "My guys saw Josefina meeting with Stan, chatting like old friends. How does she even know a martial arts master like Stan?"

Shay was taken aback. Stan, the mentor she'd always wanted, knew Josefina?

Why did all these complications find their way to her?

Everything she wanted seemed to end up in Josefina's hands.

Whether it was people or things, did everything belong to Josefina now?

Sitting aside, Shay's eyes darkened with lethal intent.

"If we could turn Josefina to our side, Oliver wouldn't stand a chance!" Dominic proposed.

Sydney, grinding her teeth, vowed,

"Tomorrow, I'm facing this woman. I

want to see what she's got! Oliver's

crazy about het is he blind to oth Women?

Dominic, leaning against the headboard, his voice hoarse, admitted, "I've seen her.

She is quite the looker."

Shay looked up, her gaze icy. "What good is beauty?"

Dominic glanced at Shay but didn't respond.

Sydney and Dominic discussed plans for hours but couldn't come up with a solid strategy.

In the end their problem was

clear-they were up against a formidable opponent, and they didn't have the power to take control on their own.
