Chapter 643
Josie watched as the man walked in, and it was none other than Annika's ex- husband, Dean. Just the sight of Josie made Dean shudder. He knew all too well that he was no match for her; she'd wipe the floor with him in seconds.
"Who is this guy? Mandy, why are you bringing strangers into our home? This is my house, not yours. What the hell are you trying to pull?" Garrett exploded, his anger barely contained.
Did Mandy mistake his politeness for a free pass to do whatever she wanted in the Harrison household?
Mandy, unfazed, turned to both of them. "Josie, the one you dote on so much, is actually a con artist! This Annika is someone she knows. Josie set her up to infiltrate the Harrison family with some shady plot. She's planning with Annika to seize control of the family's assets. Auntie, Uncle, I'm doing this for your own good."
Hattie's temper flared, her eyes blazing with fury. "Mandy, who put you up to this? You couldn't have come up with such a scheme on your own. Who's feeding you this nonsense?"
"Auntie, you have to believe me. Just listen to him; he's Annika's ex-husband."
Dean chimed in, "Annika is my ex-wife, and she's known Josie for ages. Josie forced me to divorce Annika; she took her away to harm you all."
Annika clenched her fists, seething with anger. "You jerk, try being a decent human being!"
Josie spoke up, "Yeah, I did hit you."
Mandy's eyes lit up. "Did you hear that? She admitted it! She actually did it!"
Hattie, unwavering, said, "If Josie hit him, he must've deserved it. Our Josie stepping in is like a knight in shining armor!"
Garrett added, "We're her parents, and we haven't even spoken yet. Mandy, what right do you have to talk about my child?"
"I'm
Mandy, desperate, blurted out, "I'm doing this for your own good. Josie isn't a good person; she drove Lena away and now wants to control the whole family."
Hattie stood firm, "Mandy, from this day forward, I no longer consider you me
niece. I've already sent a message to your parents to come pick you up.
"Auntie, how could you? I'm doing this for your sake!"
Josie delivered a swift kick to Dean's leg. "Spill it. What are you up to?"
Dean's eyes pleaded for help, but Mandy signaled him to continue. "I just wanted
Hattie to see your true colors and let Annika come back with me."
Annika, fuming, kicked out. "Bullshit!
I divorced you. Why would I go back with you? To get beat again? My punches are pretty strong now tog want to test them? I'll give you a shot."
Josie turned to Mandy. "These are my parents, and I've already told them about Annika. You're really dumb, getting used and not even knowing it."
Mandy stood there, dumbfounded, not expecting this twist at all.
Hattie, deeply disappointed, said, "Your mom is on her way, Mandy. You don't need to come here anymore."
For Hattie, Josie was the line no one should cross. Anyone who messed with Josie was in for a world of trouble.
"Get this man out of here and call the cops for trespassing!" Garrett ordered.
With a nod from Ryan, two security guards escorted Dean out.
As for Mandy, her mother arrived in a rush to take her away.
