Chapter 700

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Dominic left with a big grin after exchanging a few words and thanking Brandon.

"Josie, are you really up for treating Sydney's leg?" Brandon asked.

With a bright smile, Josefina replied, "Sure, I don't mind checking it out. Besides, Shay still owes me an apology."

Oliver didn't push further. If Josefina was willing, he was all in.

Josefina took some medication out of her bag, explained to Brandon how to use it, and soon after, she and Oliver headed out.

---

Once they settled in the car, Oliver started the engine.

"Josie, I'll come with you tomorrow. Sydney's no pushover, and with Shay and Dominic there, it could get tricky for you alone."

"Sure, you can come. But Rowan might be there too. Are you cool with that?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Oliver said as he drove off.

Josefina quickly fired off messages to Luke and Percy, asking them to get everything ready.

She was buzzing with excitement about meeting Sydney tomorrow.

She wondered: would they be driven mad?

---

Back home, Dominic walked in on Shay venting to Sydney, frustration oozing from her voice.

"Dominic," Shay snapped, her anger palpable.

"What's the deal? You think you're better than Josefina?" Dominic challenged calmly. "Is your medical skill superior? If so, why would I need to ask for help?"

Sydney, sitting aside, intervened, "Enough, both of you Shay, Domini is just trying to help. What's the big dealin apologizing? You're acting like it's some herculean task."

For Shay, the embarrassment was all hers, not Dominic's or Sydney's.

Dominic continued, "Mom's right. It's just an apology. What's there to be so upset about?"

Shay stayed silent, convinced Dominic was out to get her.

"I've arranged with Josefina. Tomorrow at 8:30 AM, you'll apologize first. Then, she'll check Mom's leg."

"Dominic, are you nuts? What if I

apologize and she doesn't treat

Mon

m? Why should I apologize if she doesn't heal her?"

"We have to show some goodwill, or why would Josefina bother coming?"

Shay was speechless.

Even Sydney didn't object, which only fueled Shay's rage. She stood up and stormed off.

Dominic shook his head, "Mom, look at Shay. She's too hot-tempered, too impatient."

"Dominic, she's your sister. Show some respect," Sydney chided, smiling.

"She doesn't exactly call me by my first name," Dominic retorted.

"Enough, both of you. We're family. We need to stick together."

"Got it," Dominic said, getting up. "I'm going to prepare for Josefina's visit tomorrow."
