Chapter 742

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Josefina bent her head, scrutinizing the document with focused attention. It detailed how Sydney was born in China, later adopted by a family from Japan, and moved there. Fluent in both languages, Sydney navigated the business world under her adoptive father's wing. Scattered throughout the document were photos of Sydney with various acquaintances.

Pointing to one of the photos, Josefina remarked, "The person next to Sydney is a master of manipulation. My mentor and I have met him before."

Oliver chimed in, "If Sydney knows how to manipulate people, it must have been him who taught her. Some of these folks are Sydney's mentors."

Josefina hadn't dug up this much; Oliver was indeed exceptional.

"I'll have someone look into her adoptive parents again," Oliver declared. He hadn't expected Sydney's past to be so well-hidden. A fresh investigation might unveil something new.

"Oliver, you're amazing. How about I have Luke learn a thing or two from your intelligence team?" Josefina suggested.

"No need for that."

Josefina was puzzled. "Why?" Was Oliver reluctant to have Luke over?

Standing while Josefina sat, Oliver leaned down and affectionately tapped her nose, saying with a smile, "Josie, what's mine is yours. There's no need for Luke to learn anything. Feel free to investigate whatever you wish, on your terms."

Pulling out his phone, Oliver slid it across to Josefina. "I've sent you his contact. All his details are yours now. Just add him, whatever you need, he's there."

Oliver's casual demeanor left Josefina in awe. "You're just handing over your network to me? Oliver, aren't you trusting me a bit too much?"

Oliver grinned. "If I can't trust you, who can I trust?"

He sent a quick message to his head of intelligence: "My wife will add you on Messenger soon. Whatever she wants to investigate, give it your all."

The reply came back hesitant, "What if the lady wishes to investigate you?"

Oliver responded with a simple, "Fine."

The head was flabbergasted. Oliver's level of indulgence was beyond what he had expected, truly a sight to behold!

Oliver, oblivious to the other's thoughts, pocketed his phone and assured Josefina, "Go ahead, I've already spoken to him."

Josefina quickly added the contact, who accepted immediately with a message: "Madam, at your service, just command."

Josefina chuckled, "He's quite the character."

you. When will you marry me

Setting her phone aside, Josefina sighed, "Oliver, are you obsessed with marriage?"

"Yes, Josie, I am. Madly so, with the idea of marrying you."

Josefina stood up, gathering the design blueprints from the table. "Oliver, there's much to do. Let's put that idea on held for now Cont

With a resigned air, Oliver shed his suit jacket and sat back down. "I'll wait on you.

Whenever you're ready, we'll get married."

Turning around, Josefina teased, "You make it sound so easy. There's a lot to prepare for a wedding."

"Josie, money is a powerful tool. With enough of it, anything's possible. And yes, am ready, just waiting for you to say the word."

Josefina was left speechless. Oliver indeed had deep pockets.
