Chapter 773
Oliver stormed into the room, grabbing Rowan by the arm and yanking the chair from his grasp, tossing it aside with a loud crash.
"You think you can lay a finger on her without going through me first?" Oliver's voice boomed with authority.
Josefina, eyes wide with shock, asked, "How did you get here so fast?"
"I've been keeping tabs on this whole situation. The moment I knew you were in danger, I rushed over,” he replied.
Oliver was taken aback to find Rowan in the secret room.
The fact that Rowan had connections with The Bull was something Oliver never imagined.
"Oliver!" Rowan growled, seething with anger.
Oliver stood protectively beside Josefina, giving Rowan a steely glare, "What do you want? Even if you call me, I'm telling you, you're not touching Josie!"
Rowan was fuming, practically choking on his own rage.
Oliver took Josefina's hand gently, "Let's get you out of here. I'll handle it.”
Josefina nodded, "Just... be careful, please."
With a reassuring nod, Oliver led Josefina out.
She quickly texted Luke, suspecting that Sydney was behind the chaos.
Sydney had somehow gotten wind of The Moon and was plotting to seize it.
But how did Sydney find out?
Josefina pondered over this mystery, unable to figure it out.
Before long, Oliver came out, guiding Josefina away.
...
In the car, Oliver carefully buckled Josefina's seatbelt.
"How'd you handle it?" she asked.
Oliver chuckled, "Called the police."
Josefina was taken aback.
That was an unexpected move, surely enough to get under Rowan's skin.
"Aren't you worried Grandpa Brandon will be upset?" she asked.
"I can't control how he feels. My main concern is keeping you safe," Oliver said, his eyes softening as they met hers.
Touched by his concern, Josefina leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"Oliver, I know you've got my back, and I appreciate it."
"And knowing that, you still won't marry me?" Oliver teased, steering the conversation back to marriage yet again.
Josefina sighed, releasing his face, "You always bring up marriage at the oddest times."
She continued texting on her phone, "We've got to keep an eye on Sydney. She knows way more than I thought."
"I've got people watching her. It's just that we can't hack into her

"We'll have to dig into this slowly," Josefina agreed, stretching tiredly.

"Let's head to my office first. There's a massage chair there where you can get some proper rest Over suggested, starting the car
Humming her agreement, Josefina settled in as they drove off.
Finley visited Shay, his heart sinking at the sight of her bruised legs.
"Shea, what happened to your leg? Who did this to you?"
“Finley, let it go. I don't want to make things difficult for you," Shay said, her eyes welling up with tears.
Quickly wiping them away, Shay tried to appear calm, "Finley, I'm okay now. Don't worry."
"How can I not worry when you're hurt like this? Shea, what really happened?"
Shay hesitated, looking troubled,
"It's... not really Livia's fault.

Whatever she said must have pushed Josefina to go after me
Finley was so close to not making it. To never seeing you again."
Hearing this, Finley's initial anger subsided.
Was Josefina avenging Livia?
But why did Josefina target Shay for revenge and not him?
