Hattie whispered to Josefina, "Josie, is your senior staying over tomorrow? If so, let's invite him for dinner. I'd like to thank him properly."
"Mom, my senior isn't leaving tomorrow. He's still here in Westwood."
Cash chuckled and said, "Just call me Cash."
Josefina, in front of everyone, asked, "Senior, would you like to come over to our place for dinner tomorrow?"
"Sure thing, wherever Josie wants me to dine, I'm there," Cash replied with a warm laugh.
Their conversation was lively and warm, while Oliver felt like an outsider.
Inside, Oliver worried about the number of senior friends Josefina had. Every visit seemed to chip away at his standing in her life.
