Dominic sank into his chair, his voice a low rumble, "You guys nearly ran Josefina over. Trust me, she's not the type to just shrug that off. Do you even know who hit Shay?"

"Of course I do! I'm not letting Josefina get away with this. I've got the police on it, and my own crew is digging into it too. The second we have proof, she's done for!"

Dominic sighed, "You should really be looking out for yourself. She's already gone after Shay; you're next on her list.”

Sydney glared, "So now you're cursing me? Dominic, you've really changed."

"I'm just saying, keep your eyes peeled. Don't accuse me of being petty just because you are."

Rising to his feet, Dominic made to leave.

"Dominic, she's your sister! You're just going to walk away?"

“We're half-siblings. Same mom, different dads. We're not close, no need to play happy family here."

Dominic left, leaving Sydney fuming, her face twisted with anger.

Josefina arrived home to find everyone waiting for her to start dinner.
