Chapter 1064
"Seduce?" The girl bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes.
"If it weren't for getting rid of Juniper, do you think you'd ever have a shot at Mr. Schwartz's bed?" Sheryl gritted her teeth over the phone, her jealousy palpable.
Once Shanley changed his mind and dumped Juniper, Sheryl could easily get rid of this puppet. With a little effort, she could take the top spot herself.
The girl stayed silent, biting her lip, her heart a tangled mess of anxiety. Mr. Schwartz didn't seem like someone you could just seduce.
But then-
The girl touched her own face, finding a sliver of confidence. With this face, she might actually have a winning chance.
At Cloudscape Community.
Juniper sat on the left side of the sofa, an ultra-thin laptop resting on her lap, her slender white fingers flying across the keyboard.
Beside her, a phone was on speaker.
"Juniper, are you really going to blow it up?" Michael from Subterra Vanguard asked uncertainly. "Once the explosion happens, we're talking a massive fortune lost."
"It's fine."
Juniper's eyelashes fluttered, her deep eyes calm. "We squeezed tens of billions out of Sanctum Holdings; we'll just use that to compensate the Sigma Network."
Besides.
The Sigma Network had already evacuated all the valuable machinery and medical supplies.
They were just blowing up an empty shell.
"That works then," Michael sighed softly, chuckling happily. "The price Mr. Schwartz
is paying to chase his girl is on a whole other level, hahaha..."
His laughter echoed through the living room.
Sitting on the right side of the sofa, Shanley looked up, his handsome features pulling into a slight frown.
The loud laughter was disturbing him.
"Michael, careful, don't laugh yourself into an asthma attack," Juniper muttered, licking her lips.
"Oh, listen to you! You two aren't even married yet, and you're already fiercely defending him?" Michael teased.
Juniper turned her head and found Shanley staring fixedly at her, the adoration in his eyes so deep she could drown in it.
"Michael," Shanley leaned in, speaking up. "I heard you've been looking for a certain gun lately?"
"Huh? How'd you know?" Michael asked, puzzled. "Did Juniper tell you?"
"What a coincidence. The exact gun
you're looking for just happens to be
in the Sigma Networks armory,
Shanley said casually, twling strand of Juniper's hair around his finger.
"Really?"
Michael paused for two seconds before instantly changing his tune. "Well, between
a couple, helping each other out is only natural."
"Michael, we're not even married yet,
and Juniper is already fiercely defending me Sharfey pinched...... Juniper's chin, mocking Michael's earlier tone.
Juniper bit his finger and glared at him playfully.
Since when did this man become such an expert at acting innocent?
"Hehe," Michael chuckled awkwardly, knowing when to bend. "Just goes to show how deep your feelings are. I'm truly happy for you both."
"Is that right."
Shanley smirked, his voice lazy and relaxed. "Since you like the gun so much, I'll have someone deliver it to you."
"Then I'll thank you in advance, Mr.
Schwartz Michael replied
cheerfully, overwhelmingly
enthusiastica Next time you visit the main base, I'll personally cook up a storm for you."
"My cooking is amazing. Other than Juniper, no one else has the honor."
"Hahaha, well, I'll let you be. You two lovebirds take care. I'll be waiting for that wedding invitation."
Juniper couldn't listen anymore and simply hung up the phone.
Hypocrites.
Two hypocritical men.
"What's wrong?" Shanley smiled somewhat guiltily when he noticed the girl staring at him.
"Good thing you're rich, Mr. Schwartz, or else our destiny would have ended right
here."
