Chapter 1111
"Any progress?" Jimmie asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Still looking," Juniper replied, pinching the bridge of her nose. Exhaustion radiated from her. "Sanctum Holdings abducted her in broad daylight. They clearly aren't afraid of an investigation."
And it was true. They had hidden themselves flawlessly. Even with the combined efforts of Binary Oracle and Cybernetic Shadows, their exact location remained a mystery.
"They haven't reached out to Warren either," Shanley said, setting down a bowl and offering Juniper a sip of juice. "It's obvious. They want the person, not money."
"The person?" Ebony Fox clenched her fists, a murderous aura rolling off her. "What the hell do they want with Celine?"
"If they wanted to kidnap someone useful, wouldn't Dr. Nocturne make more sense?"
Celine only knew how to grow herbs. What use could herbs possibly have for Sanctum Holdings' Gene Modification Project?
"Could it be—" Harold, who had been silent until now, suddenly spoke up. "That Celine's genetic profile is what they need for their research?"
The room fell silent. Everyone turned to look at him, realizing his suspicion held weight.
Remembering the horrific scene in that basement, Juniper's eyes turned icy. That old monster treated human lives like disposable trash for his research. If Celine fell into his hands, would she even survive?
*Crash.*
Juniper suddenly stood up, knocking her laptop to the floor. "I'm not waiting anymore." Her voice was hoarse and cold. "I'm going back to that basement. I'll find a way to get her out."
"Sanctum Holdings has airtight security. Only two people can go in at a time," Shanley said, gently holding the impulsive girl back. "Binary Oracle and Cybernetic Shadows are almost finished developing the tracker."
Once they had that, they could pinpoint Sanctum's lair.
"I at least need to make sure she's safe," Juniper said, her mind made up.
"Alright." Shanley thought for a moment before nodding. "I'll go with you." If a fight broke out, he could shield her.
Juniper stared at him, opening her mouth to refuse. If something went wrong, having Shanley on the outside meant the rescue plan could still proceed. Besides, her parents were still missing, someone needed to lead the search.
"I'm going with you," Shanley repeated, seeing right through her intentions, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Fine." Juniper swallowed the rest of
her words and looked at Warren,
with
who looked ready to jump into action. "Celine chose to stay v you on Liberty island instead of coming with us because she knows how important this place is to you. I want her to come back and see you and Liberty Island safe and sound."
"I understand." Warren lowered his eyes. "I won't get in the way," he said, his voice
raw.
Juniper gave him a long look but said nothing.

Luella quickly contacted Sanctum Holdings. She informed them that Silas Blackwood's medication needed to be changed. More importantly, Dr. Nocturne wanted to personally discuss their potential partnership.
Corvus Thorne readily agreed.
After seeing Juniper and Shanley off,
Jimmie and the others sat on the sofa, staring at the messy pile of documents on the table. The sketch of the captive man was there, and the feeling of familiarity was growing stronger by the second.
"Harold, do you think he looks familiar too?" Jimmie asked.
"Yeah," Harold nodded. "Very."
It was strange that they both felt this way. Jimmie picked up the sketch and compared it with the original photo of the man, turning it over and over.
Suddenly, a blurry figure flashed through his mind.
"He's "
"He's "
Jimmie and Harold looked at each other simultaneously, their expressions mirrored
in shock. They had recognized the man in the photo!
