"Heh." Jimmie let out a low, breathy chuckle. "Shanley's romantic lines are way more nauseating than mine."

"True."

The man standing in front of her was far too gorgeous. Terrified she might actually lose her self-control, Luella quickly looked away and changed the subject. "You haven't eaten, right? I brought dinner."

"No."

Watching the girl slip out of his space, Jimmie followed her toward the dining area.

"I'm going to change."

After two steps, he suddenly stopped and looked over his shoulder. "Want to feel them first? 100% authentic, rock-hard abs."

Luella froze, her hands mid-air over the takeout bags, staring at him with bright, eager eyes.

Jimmie smirked and walked into the bedroom.

When he reemerged, he was fully and properly dressed.

"Eat up." Luella served him a portion of rice and arranged the side dishes. "I wasn't sure what you liked, so just eat whatever."

"Whatever you like, I like," Jimmie answered smoothly.

Honestly.

These dishes were all his favorites.

"If you say one more cheesy line, I swear I'm throwing you out the window." Luella raised a fist at him.

"I'm serious!"

Jimmie looked entirely innocent, emphasizing every word. "These dishes are perfect!"

To prove he wasn't just sweet-talking her, he even pulled up photos of his usual catered meals on set.

Luella pursed her lips.

Okay, maybe she misjudged him.

"Let's eat." Jimmie proceeded to pick up every single piece of meat from his container and place it into hers.

"I don't like meat," Luella complained.

Jimmie immediately moved the meat back to his plate and asked if she wanted the feta instead.

"Is this how dating actually works?" Luella mumbled, poking at her food with her silverware.

"That's how they do it in the movies," Jimmie answered earnestly after a few seconds of genuine thought.

"Oh."

Luella chewed on her fork, finding absolutely zero flaws in his logic.

It wasn't like she had ever dated anyone either.

After dinner.

Jimmie washed out the containers and set them in the kitchen to dry.

He then bagged up the trash and set it neatly by the door.

Fully fed and satisfied, Luella sat on the rug, leaning against the sofa as she watched him hustle around the suite.

She had assumed an A-lister like Jimmie would be completely helpless in the kitchen.

She hadn't expected him to be so domesticated.

"I hate having strangers in my house," Jimmie said, drying his hands as he walked over to her. "When I'm not filming, I cook and clean for myself."

"Well, I'm the exact opposite."

Luella flashed a wicked, carefree grin. "If I can lie down, I won't sit. If I can sit, I absolutely will not stand."

"So our lifestyles are..."

"A perfect match." Jimmie sat down right next to her, his gaze locked on

"I'll handle all the

household chores you can just relax and do whatever you want.

"Didn't you say you can't stand living with other people?"

"You're not 'other people'," Jimmie said softly. He reached into his bag and pulled out a thick manila envelope.

Inside were property deeds, premium black cards, and a stack of high-yield investment certificates.

"I can put your name on the house deeds, and I'll give you all my bank PINs,"

Jimmie murmured.

"Huh?"

Luella casually picked up one of the bank statements. The amount of zeros on the page nearly gave her whiplash.

This pretty boy was obscenely rich.

"We literally just started dating, and you're handing over your entire net worth? Aren't you afraid of getting completely scammed?" Luella asked the corner of her mouth; twitching.

"You're Juniper's best friend. I trust her judgment," Jimmie replied seriously. "And I trust my own."

"I brought these to show you how serious lam." Jimmie swallowed hard, tension lacing his voice.

"Luella, I'm not just playing around, don't give my heart away easily but when I do, it's för life."

"I didn't know what else to do to make you trust me..."
