Chapter 118:

Once she stepped out of the taxi, Fernanda put on her sunglasses and walked into the building.

When she arrived on the twelfth floor, the receptionist greeted her.

“Good afternoon, miss. Who are you here to see?”

“I’m here to see Ms. Rosita Nelson,” she replied.

“Do you have an appointment?” the receptionist inquired politely.

Fernanda shook her head. “No.”

The receptionist paused for a moment, clearly unsure, before apologizing.

“I’m sorry, miss, but Ms. Nelson doesn’t meet with visitors unless they have an appointment.”

Fernanda retrieved a small envelope from her pocket and handed it to the receptionist.

“Please deliver this to her. She’ll meet with me once she’s read it.”

The receptionist thought for a moment, then took the envelope from Fernanda and walked toward Rosita’s office.

The receptionist had dealt with situations like this before. Entertainment Today was a well-known name in the industry, which meant that countless people tried to see Rosita, the editor-in-chief, often using all sorts of tactics to get past the gatekeepers. Most of the time, they were swiftly turned away by Rosita. The receptionist expected this time to be no different, but when Rosita opened the envelope, her expression shifted immediately, surprising her.

The envelope was small and thin, and the receptionist couldn’t understand what was inside that could cause such a reaction from Rosita.

“Bring her in,” Rosita said with authority.

The receptionist, not daring to waste any time, hurriedly went to bring Fernanda in.

The moment Fernanda stepped into Rosita’s office, she slipped off her sunglasses, unveiling her strikingly beautiful face.

“Ms. Nelson, hello,” Fernanda said, offering a warm smile as she greeted her.

Though Rosita was in her forties, she appeared to be in her thirties, thanks to her careful attention to her appearance.

She wore silver-rimmed glasses, her long black hair tied neatly at the nape of her neck, and was dressed in a beige professional suit that exuded both elegance and sharp intelligence.

“Miss Morgan,” Rosita greeted, offering a slight nod in acknowledgment.

Fernanda calmly walked over to the sofa and took a seat, her gaze steady as she spoke. “Ms. Nelson, we haven’t met in person, but I’m sure you know who I am. After all, you’ve written quite a number of scandalous news articles about me, haven’t you?”

Rosita picked up the envelope Fernanda had sent earlier, tossing it onto the coffee table in front of her.
