Chapter 119
Chapter 119:
The envelope was open, revealing two pieces of paper inside. The first was Fernanda’s business card. The second was printed with the words “Legal Notice.”
“What is the meaning of this, Miss Morgan?” Rosita asked, her tone still calm but laced with curiosity.
Fernanda’s gaze locked onto Rosita’s as she replied firmly, “Exactly what it looks like.”
“That it says. I’m simply warning you to be ready for a legal notice.”
Rosita had been in the industry long enough to hear such threats countless times, and they no longer fazed her.
“Oh? Are you planning to take legal action against us?” Rosita inquired.
“Yes. Your fake news has damaged my reputation, and I can’t just ignore that.”
Rosita’s lips curled into a smirk, her eyes brimming with scorn for Fernanda, as if mocking her naivety.
“Go ahead then,” Rosita said, her tone cold. “We’ll wait for a court summons.”
In this industry, lawsuits had never been a concern for them.
“My fiancé, Bobby Harper, was furious after seeing those news articles,” Fernanda continued. “He said he’d help me sue you. He also mentioned that the Harper Group’s legal team has never lost a case, so I shouldn’t be worried.”
Rosita’s brow furrowed, her gaze turning ice-cold. “Did Mr. Harper really say that?”
“Yes. Well, I may not be capable, but I have a fiancé who is,” Fernanda said, leaning forward with her hands on the coffee table, a smile playing on her lips. “Ms. Nelson, I’m giving you two choices. You can either remove all the negative stories about me and issue a public apology, or you can wait to deal with my fiancé’s legal team.
The decision is yours.”
With those words, she stood and walked out.

Rosita remained silent, her eyes locked on Fernanda’s retreating figure, her gaze intense and calculating.
If Fernanda had come to issue a simple threat, it wouldn’t have mattered. But with Bobby supporting her, this could turn problematic. Once Fernanda was gone, Rosita swiftly picked up her phone and dialed a number.
Fernanda descended from the twelfth floor but didn’t leave right away.
Instead, she went to the café on the first floor and ordered an iced coffee.
She dialed Ector’s number, asking him to pick her up at 5 p.m., stressing the importance of punctuality and requesting that he bring a few extra people.
Ector agreed without hesitation, assuring her he’d be on time.
After ending the call, Fernanda opened an app and noticed a red light glowing, signaling that the recording device was active. A smile tugged at her lips.
