“But you’ve got so many friends,” she pointed out. “Why not do it under one of their names? Why mine?”

“Because I wanted to help you get back at them,” he said with a smile.

Fernanda blinked, surprised by his answer.

“The way that media outlet slandered and defamed you recently was absolutely infuriating. I was so furious reading those comments that I seriously considered handling it myself. But just imagine their reaction when they find out the person they tried to drag through the mud is now their boss. Isn’t that just… thrilling?” He smirked, a hint of satisfaction in his expression.

Fernanda bit her lip for a moment, then couldn’t help but laugh. It did sound pretty thrilling, actually.

As she laughed, her eyes lit up, her smile curling into a crescent shape. For a moment, her usual distance faded, replaced with a spark of youthful warmth and charm.

Cristian added, “I’m not transferring ownership to you, but I want to give you the chance to manage it. You’ll help me run the show, and I’ll pay you a salary. What do you think?”

Fernanda’s eyes brightened immediately.

Cristian was offering her a chance to dive in and get hands-on experience with the company!

“Okay,” she agreed, smiling as she spoke. “I’ll take responsibility for both the profits and the losses. How about that?”

If the company made money, it would stay with the company. If it faced losses, she’d take that on herself. Cristian had already given her an incredible opportunity—she couldn’t let him bear the burden of any setbacks.
