“Enough,” Robert cut in sharply, his patience thinning.
Erika needed to face the reality of her actions rather than being shielded by excuses. While Ava certainly bore some responsibility, Erika was not without fault. Michelle’s constant excuses painted Erika as a victim, which was hardly the case. Couldn’t she see that Bobby was merely supporting Fernanda?
Robert’s disgust grew. It was the first time he realized Michelle was so oblivious.
Robert’s outburst made Michelle feel even more uncomfortable.
Witnessing the unified front of the Harper family, Robert made a resolute declaration. “Fernanda, I assure you, if Erika steps out of line again, I’ll have no choice but to send her away!”
“Honey!” Michelle’s face turned pale. “How can you even suggest such a thing?”
“Fernanda and I have been more than lenient. If Erika doesn’t change, she’s no daughter of mine.” Robert looked at Michelle, his voice firm with determination.
He was not only trying to appease Fernanda but also demonstrating his high regard for her to the Harper family.
Robert was doing this for the future of the Morgan family. He knew that if he did not show her the respect she deserved, how could he expect her future in-laws to value her after she married into the Harper family? A lack of respect from her in-laws would hinder her ability to benefit him in any way.
In Robert’s eyes, Fernanda’s worth was much greater than Erika’s. Faced with a choice between the two, he would, without hesitation, choose Fernanda.
“Alright, Mr. Morgan, I will keep your promise in mind,” Bobby said firmly. “Should there be any more mistreatment towards Fernanda, you must kick Erika out. If you don’t keep your promise, I’ll take Fernanda with me and cut off her connection to you.”
“No, no, that won’t be necessary,” Robert replied, waving his hands in dismissal. “There won’t be another incident, I assure you.”
Bobby’s intimidating tone left Robert shaken. The thought of losing Fernanda was unbearable, as she represented his future wealth.

With a dismissive snort, Bobby seemed to finally accept Robert’s attitude.
Eager to change the subject, Robert quickly suggested that everyone join him for dinner.
The chefs had outdone themselves, preparing a magnificent banquet. Members of the Morgan and Harper families filled the seats along the expansive table and began their meal.
As they ate, Martin leaned towards Robert and said, “Robert, we actually need to discuss something of significance.”
“Please, Martin, go ahead.”
“I’m thinking we should hold an engagement ceremony for Bobby and Fernanda first,” Martin suggested. “They aren’t ready to marry just yet, so why not celebrate their engagement in the meantime? What do you think?”
This unexpected proposition delighted Robert. Overflowing with happiness, he quickly replied, “That’s an excellent idea, truly wonderful. When shall we schedule the ceremony?”
While Robert was overjoyed, others at the table, including Fernanda, Cristian, and Bobby, were visibly taken aback.
