Chapter 326
Chapter 326:
She had just started a new job at a bar and had taken a couple of days off to relax. But tonight, she couldn’t skip work—it was a must. She was careful not to let Bobby know where she worked now, afraid he’d mess things up like he always did.
Whether it was the meds kicking in or just exhaustion, Bobby felt sleepy. He wasn’t going to hold them back anymore. “You two handle your things. I’m tired and need to rest. I’ll call a driver. Don’t worry about me.”
With that, Fernanda and Wendy each grabbed a cab and headed off in separate directions.
Fernanda made her way to Bright Lights Media to meet with Rosita.
Rosita was taken aback by Fernanda’s unexpected appearance. Before she could speak, Fernanda cut to the chase. “Any updates from Bloom Group on Rafael’s news?”
“No,” Rosita replied. “They suppressed the story, and we haven’t heard a word from them since.”
Fernanda nodded, her voice firm. “Then, tomorrow, keep reporting on it.”
Rosita was stunned. “You want to keep reporting? Was Fernanda losing it? Bloom Group had already buried the story, making it clear they didn’t want it to get out. But now Fernanda wanted to stir it up again? It was practically daring them to retaliate.
Rosita’s frown deepened. “Miss Morgan, I respect you, but I have to say—you can’t do this.”
Fernanda’s eyes gleamed with curiosity. “Why not?” she asked, locking eyes with Rosita.
“You’re challenging Bloom Group!” Rosita said, her voice filled with conviction.
“Why can’t I challenge them?” Fernanda pressed, her tone defiant.
Rosita couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She chuckled, but it was a nervous laugh. “Bloom Group is the giant in the industry. They could wipe out a small company like ours without breaking a sweat. Let me offer you some advice: don’t risk the company’s future over personal grudges. There are too many people here who rely on this job to make a living.”
Rosita was genuinely frustrated. The industry was already shaky; Bloom Group had been acquiring small media companies, merging their resources. This was a time to play it safe, yet Fernanda was deliberately poking the bear, walking right into the danger zone. Wasn’t she jeopardizing the company’s future?
Rosita, feeling that Fernanda was being reckless, was clearly upset, and her tone showed it. But Fernanda, on the other hand, wasn’t angry at all. Instead, she gave a calm smile and motioned for Rosita to come closer.

Rosita hesitated for a moment before sitting beside Fernanda.
Fernanda leaned in and whispered a few words in Rosita’s ear. Rosita’s face went from confusion to outright shock.
When Fernanda finished speaking, she could see from Rosita’s expression that she’d won her over.
“Just trust me, and everything will be fine,” Fernanda said, her tone confident. She had come up with this idea yesterday, and after seeing Braylee today, she was even more sure it was the right move.
Rosita’s gaze lingered on Fernanda, her curiosity piqued. How could Fernanda have such a fresh take on everything? “Okay. We’ll follow your lead,” Rosita agreed.
Fernanda smiled, reassured. “That’s good. You don’t have to worry. I’m serious about making Bright Lights Media a success. I won’t risk your futures.”
