Chapter 532
Chapter 532:
After a moment, Cristian sauntered over with a smirk, offering a hand—not out of kindness, but mockery, and yanked Nolan back into the wheelchair.
“Get your hands off me!” Nolan shouted, disgusted, as if touched by something vile. “I don’t need your help! Cristian, the whole world might poke fun at me, but you? You’ve got no right! You broke me, and now you stand there, grinning like it’s some sick joke?”
Nolan was livid, his voice echoing with rage.
Cristian, cool as ever, simply pressed his hand on Nolan’s shoulder, firmly seating him back in the wheelchair.
The back of Cristian’s hand was smeared with blood, a stark contrast to his calm demeanor. His grip tightened on Nolan’s shoulder, sharp enough to hurt.
“Keep telling that lie, huh?” Cristian said, his voice frosty and his stare cutting. “But deep down, you know the truth about what happened to your legs. And so do I.”
“It’s all on you! Cristian, you’re nothing but a backstabber! Green with envy, you pointed your finger at me and wrecked my life. You’re a stain on humanity!”
Nolan was seething, his body trembling with uncontainable anger. His eyes bulged, and the veins in his neck pulsed with fury.
Cristian stepped back, watching Nolan’s shaking form, and cracked a thin smile.
“Actually, I dropped by today to give you a heads up,” he said, his tone light, almost teasing. “Sammy, bless his heart, just wasn’t cutting it as your assistant. Consider him handled.”
“What… what have you done to Sammy?” Nolan stammered.
“Easy now. Just know you won’t be dealing with his slip-ups anymore.” Turning on his heel, Cristian walked out.
“Come back here!” Nolan bellowed. “Tell me what you did to Sammy!” The only response was the definitive slam of the door as Cristian departed.
The room fell deathly quiet. Aside from the scattered papers, it felt as though the confrontation had been a scene straight out of Nolan’s imagination.

Realizing the ordeal wasn’t a nightmare, but a harsh reality, Nolan grabbed his phone to dial Sammy. But the call dropped. What was happening? He had just spoken to Sammy yesterday.
He reached out to his other assistants, but was told none of them could get through to Sammy.
It hit Nolan like a cold wave—Cristian wasn’t bluffing. He really had dealt with Sammy.
As for how, that remained a chilling unknown.
A shiver of dread washed over Nolan, settling deep in his bones.
Downstairs, Cristian met the maid, who was blissfully unaware of the storm that had just passed upstairs. She greeted him, oblivious to the tension that still lingered in the air.
