Chapter 773
Chapter 773:
Fernanda, who had never heard Vinson utter a word about his sister, found herself puzzled by the mystery of Clarinda. Now that she knew Clarinda had vanished out of thin air, Fernanda found herself thinking about her own former friends.
She was well aware of Evie’s emotions, including the abrupt experience of losing a significant other.
Evie shook herself from her melancholy like someone brushing off the first chill of winter. “Alright, enough about the past. Let’s play some games and forget all this gloom.”
Fernanda logged into the game, and the screen erupted with messages, one after another, until the flood of words nearly caused the game to crash.
“I lost!”
“I didn’t win the championship. I can’t video call you now!”
“I feel so terrible… It’s not just the loss—it’s that I can’t see you.”
“I’m so frustrated. Why did this happen? We worked so hard…” The messages from Fourteen tumbled out like an avalanche, each one carrying a heavy load of frustration.
Fernanda skimmed through them quickly, closed the chat window, and invited Evie to join her.
She felt a flicker of relief that Kevin still hadn’t discovered her identity.
If he did, the shock would hit him like a tidal wave.
After spending the afternoon laughing and gaming with Evie, Fernanda stayed for dinner at the Harper residence.
As the evening drew to a close, she finally prepared to leave. Curran, however, lingered near her like a shadow unwilling to part from its source. His gaze was long and almost pleading, as if silently urging her to stay a little longer.
“Fernanda, how about you come to Litdence to visit me next holiday?” Curran asked, his grin stretching from ear to ear. “It’s just as good as Esaham, maybe even better!”
“Alright,” Fernanda replied, her smile faint but genuine.

Curran’s grin grew wider, his excitement bubbling over. “You better not back out on me!”
With a playful glint in his eye, he extended his hand. “Pinky promise?”
Fernanda rolled her eyes at his childlike gesture but couldn’t resist a small chuckle as she linked her pinky with his.
“Oh, and just so you know,” Curran added with exaggerated enthusiasm, “I’ll find you the perfect boyfriend in Litdence. You’ll marry him, live there, and you can come to me whenever you need help! Even more attractive than the men from Esaham are the ones from Litdence. I’ll select some lovely ones for you to pick from.”
Fernanda couldn’t help but feel a bit amused by Curran’s offer. Did she seem that desperate for a boyfriend? Curran was already planning this far ahead for her.
She chuckled. “Thank you for your kind thought.”
“It’s nothing,” Curran said dismissively. “I am usually not bothered with the kids in our family. They can find their partners themselves. But for you, I have to find you the perfect boyfriend.”
Curran wore a serious expression, seeming quite adamant about it.
