Chapter 811
Chapter 811:
Robert, massaging his temples, responded wearily to Selma, “Selma, let’s not start this again. Didn’t you promise this morning that you wouldn’t fight with Fernanda?”
“I did, but I spoke only for the good of the family! You know I’m right about her!” Selma retorted, her expression turning fierce.
Robert knew that Selma had started the argument. Frustrated, he suggested to Fernanda, “Come with me to the study.” Fernanda followed Robert up the stairs.
Robert’s demeanor toward her today was surprisingly pleasant. He didn’t bring up her broken engagement with Bobby. Instead, he focused on asking about Bright Lights Media and how her own studio was doing.
Fernanda responded with vague details.
Robert said appreciatively, “Fernanda, I am truly proud of your accomplishments at such a young age. You’re a visionary.”
It had been a while since Fernanda had heard Robert speak so sensibly, and she wasn’t quite sure how to react.
He added, “Even Ector has praised your efforts. You were instrumental in helping the Voligny Company during a tough period. That was a significant help to us.”
Though Robert’s compliments seemed genuine, Fernanda couldn’t help but feel wary, wondering if he intended to ask her for a favor.
The conversation then turned to recent online discussions before Robert broached the topic of her education. “You’re graduating next year, right? Have you considered pursuing a master’s degree?”
“No,” Fernanda replied.
Robert appeared pleased with her response.
“Why not join Voligny Company after you graduate?” he suggested. “It’s part of the family business, and you have a stake in it.”
Fernanda arched an eyebrow, caught off guard. Robert seemed open to involving her in the family business.

“We can discuss this later,” Robert continued. Fernanda hesitated. “My field of study isn’t exactly aligned with the business. I might not be of much help.”
Robert dismissed her concern with a wave of his hand. “Come on, your talent is what truly matters. People with your skills succeed in any environment. I have faith in you.”
Over time, Robert had come to a calm realization: Fernanda was not just smart; she was exceptionally capable. To have such a daughter was indeed something to be proud of.
Ector’s daily commendations of Fernanda had solidified her image in Robert’s mind. Imagine the possibilities if she were to contribute to Voligny Company, potentially elevating it to even greater success. The expansion of the company could significantly boost the Morgan family’s wealth and stature, as well as his own social standing.
Robert was convinced of her abilities. He also considered that Fernanda’s defiance was limited to her personal life, particularly her marriage. In other aspects, she seemed to still respect him as her father, as evidenced by her past assistance with the company.
Before Fernanda could respond, Michelle, who was outside, happened to overhear Robert’s words. She had used the excuse of bringing coffee just to eavesdrop on the conversation between father and daughter.
