Upon hearing Robert’s suggestion for Fernanda to join Voligny Company, Michelle clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle a gasp. If Fernanda were to join the company, what would become of her own children’s futures there?

Voligny Company was supposed to be a legacy for her children. Fernanda shouldn’t have a part in it.

A sense of urgency overcame Michelle. She resolved that she would not let anyone compromise her children’s interests.

She was determined to prevent Fernanda from becoming involved in Voligny Company.

Michelle knocked lightly on the door, and once Robert gave permission, she entered, carrying a tray with coffee.

“You’ve been deep in conversation all afternoon; perhaps it’s time for a little break,” Michelle suggested cheerfully.

She then turned to Robert with a gentle reminder. “Fernanda has just come home. Maybe keep the topics light, especially since she’s already got a lot on her plate with school. Let’s not overburden her.”

“I understand,” Robert replied, dismissing her with a casual wave of his hand, signaling she could leave.

He then turned back to Fernanda. “Consider joining Voligny Company. It’s a solid opportunity. While you’re running your own business, expanding into other areas could be beneficial. Look at any successful family; they diversify their investments. Makes sense, right?”

Fernanda responded with a smile, “That’s a compelling argument. I’ll think about it.”

This was an unexpected development; Fernanda hadn’t even considered how to approach Voligny Company for potential opportunities, and here was Robert already proposing it.

Indeed, Voligny Company seemed like the right place for her, especially since her mother had helped build the company.

Robert’s laughter filled the room as he delighted in Fernanda’s openness to the idea. He was confident in her abilities now more than ever.

The young boys were visibly anxious, feeling quite different about encountering Fernanda in a home setting compared to the competitive arenas.

They cautiously introduced themselves, but Fernanda’s warm and gracious demeanor quickly eased their nerves.

As dinner progressed, the conversation flowed freely among the young crowd, filling the room with lively chatter.

As soon as the topic shifted to video games, a subject they all loved, the initial awkwardness vanished, and the boys became much more animated.

Fernanda engaged with them openly, offering insights into various game strategies and tactics. The boys hung on her every word, captivated by her knowledge.
