Chapter 834
Chapter 834:
However, she quickly realized that she couldn’t act on it. Cristian’s warning seemed to still echo in her ears. If he discovered that she was the one who disclosed his relationship with Fernanda to Curran, it could cause significant trouble.
Even if she wanted to tell Curran, she had to do it discreetly, ensuring the source of the leak remained concealed.
Fernanda walked into the room to join Cristian shortly after Jordyn’s departure. She had brought soup, along with some light side dishes.
Although Cristian’s appetite was lacking, he ate a little to honor Fernanda’s effort. With his arm barely functioning, Fernanda took the task upon herself to feed him. Each spoonful of soup was gently cooled by her breath before she offered it to him.
Cristian explained, “Jordyn leaned on me earlier. I couldn’t move away because I couldn’t move.”
He was aware that Fernanda had witnessed his closeness with Jordyn and feared a misunderstanding.
Fernanda responded calmly with a nod. “I understand.”
Cristian continued, “I was surprised to see her here. Once I discover who spread the word, I’ll…”
“Come on,” interrupted Fernanda, placing a spoonful of soup into Cristian’s mouth to halt his speech. “She’s concerned about you and came to visit. Is there anything wrong with that?”
After swallowing the soup, Cristian confessed, “I’m worried you might be upset. You mean more to me than anything else.”
“Why should I be upset?” Fernanda smiled warmly. “I hope more people show they care about you.”
She wished that others would treat him with the warmth and compassion he deserved. Aware of the hardships he had endured and the unfairness and indifference he had faced for far too long, she wished the world would offer him more kindness.
Why would she deny him the warmth others offered?

Stunned, Cristian pondered her words. Though he had never been in a relationship, he was aware that such situations often sparked jealousy. What set Fernanda apart in her thinking?
Aiming to make things clear to her, Cristian added, “Jordyn has feelings for you.”
“I’m aware,” Fernanda responded confidently. “It’s quite evident.”
“Aren’t you bothered by it?” Cristian asked, his voice dropping as he looked down, appearing somewhat distressed.
“Not at all,” Fernanda replied, her smile steady. “You’re an impressive person; it’s natural for you to be admired. However, I trust you’ll only have eyes for me. I’m confident in us; you aren’t someone who falls in love easily.”
As she cooled another spoonful of soup, she added, “Moreover, you’ve known each other for years. If there were any feelings on your part, they would have surfaced long before now.”
Fernanda understood that Cristian, with his good looks and influence, would naturally attract admiration. She saw no reason to feel threatened by everyone who might find him appealing; that would only lead to endless jealousy.
