Chapter 902
Chapter 902:
Jade blinked in confusion. “What?”
“But,” Bobby continued, his expression turning serious, “isn’t it somewhat inappropriate to wear such bold makeup during a mourning period? After all, you just lost your grandmother.”
Jade had been speaking softly, but Bobby’s voice was clear and loud enough for everyone at the table to hear.
Toby, who was seated across the room, immediately frowned.
“Go clean your face,” he instructed sharply. “What were you thinking, dressing up like this after your grandmother passed away?”
In Silendale, it was customary to dress modestly and avoid heavy makeup during times of mourning. Toby hadn’t noticed Jade’s appearance until Bobby mentioned it, and now it was impossible to ignore.
Jade looked toward her mother for support, but Felipa only frowned and said nothing.
Her face twisted in deep embarrassment.
She stood up suddenly and dashed out of the room without saying a word.
Bobby noticed Fernanda’s knowing look and gave a simple shrug.
He hadn’t intended to stir up drama. He genuinely found it inappropriate. When Jade returned, she had removed all her makeup, revealing her natural face.
Her features were pleasant enough, but her skin was flawed. Normally masked by makeup, her bare face made her look just average.
With cosmetics, Jade appeared quite attractive, but without them, her imperfections were exposed, and her earlier confidence seemed to disappear.
She quietly returned to her seat and ate without speaking.
Meanwhile, Bobby leaned back in his chair, cheerfully browsing his phone, unbothered by the earlier commotion.

The memorial service continued for five days, and on the sixth morning, Macie was laid to rest in the cemetery.
It was early, and while Bobby was still asleep at the hotel, Cristian accompanied Fernanda.
Delicate snowflakes fell, some finding their way into their collars, sending shivers down their spines.
After the burial, Fernanda announced their expected return to Esaham. Sarai immediately objected.
“Stay a bit longer. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had the chance to show you around. There’s so much more to see in Silendale!”
“No, I can’t stay any longer. I have classes to attend,” Fernanda responded with a polite smile. “And there’s a competition I need to prepare for. I really can’t spare any more time.”
