For a man who had weathered countless storms, Curran was visibly shaken. The weight of Nolan’s words was impossible to ignore. His eyes snapped to Fernanda, and his voice wavered slightly. “Fernanda, is what he said true?”

Fernanda had never dealt with Nolan before, but from what she had seen of him and the way he targeted Cristian, she knew he wasn’t someone to take lightly.

The fact that he brought it up today meant he was already certain about her relationship with Cristian.

If she tried to deny it, he would no doubt have proof to expose her. Not that it mattered; she had no intention of denying it. She had come to Litdence for this exact reason.

Haley spoke up first. “Curran, please don’t—”

Curran lifted a hand, cutting her off without looking away from Fernanda. “I’m asking Fernanda.”

His voice was low and steady, giving nothing away; it was impossible to tell if he was angry.

The smile had vanished from his face entirely, a clear sign that his mood had soured.

“Yes.” Fernanda met Curran’s gaze. “I’m with Cristian.”

Curran’s eyes widened, his expression frozen in disbelief. He leaned back slightly, creating a distance between them that hadn’t been there before.

“You…” His hand lifted, pointing at her, but the words didn’t come. His lips quivered, and even his fingers trembled. The shock had hit him hard.

Fernanda kept her voice steady. “I came here today to tell you this in person. Cristian and I have a strong relationship. I love him, and I won’t be attending the blind date you arranged.”

She hesitated for a moment before continuing. “At first, I thought about calling you to explain, but I realized this was too important for a phone call. It needed to be said face-to-face. That’s why I waited so long. I’m sorry.”

With that, she rose from the sofa and bowed slightly.

Nolan smirked, his lips curling in amusement. “Why don’t you mention that you were already involved with Cristian long before your engagement to Bobby was even called off? You played Bobby, didn’t you? Poor guy. His fiancée is involved with his cousin. What a mess for him…”

“Shut your damn mouth!”

A furious voice rang out from the doorway just as a figure charged in and landed a punch straight at Nolan.

The impact sent his wheelchair toppling over. Bobby lunged on top of Nolan, and the two of them broke into a full-blown fight.

Cristian had wanted to accompany Fernanda to the Reeds’ house today, but Martin and Judie convinced him otherwise.
