Chapter 207
Chapter 207:
By now, Rosalie had come to trust Ashton implicitly.
So, under Ashton’s watchful eye, she left the site first. After instructing Charlie to secretly arrange protection for Rosalie, Ashton drove to the suburbs.
As they distanced themselves from the downtown area, members of the Axe Gang started to appear, boldly tailing Ashton.
Seizing the moment, Slater commanded his men to intercept Ashton’s car.
However, Ashton’s adept driving kept him a step ahead. Unbeknownst to the gang members, they were being led to an isolated mountain road.
Arriving at his intended spot, Ashton calmly parked and stepped out of the car.
As vans closed in around him, a smirk played on his lips. A major showdown was on the horizon!
Slater and his crew followed Ashton down a seemingly abandoned mountain road.
Since they weren’t from a local gang, they were unacquainted with the terrain and couldn’t recognize the desolate landscape.
The spot where Ashton chose to park his car was clearly a deserted parking lot, accessible by only a single entrance and exit. Encircled by dense woods, it offered no means of escape, even if Ashton had desired to flee.
This realization filled Slater with satisfaction.
In Slater’s mind, Ashton had used their unfamiliarity with the area to trap them. Little did Ashton know, he had dug his own grave.
The situation seemed even more fortuitous when Ashton parked his car and stepped out.
Slater took this as a sign that Ashton, intimidated by his gang’s presence, was acknowledging his dire predicament and preparing to surrender.

Slater was in no rush. To him, Ashton was now a lamb awaiting slaughter.
To prevent any chance of escape, Slater directed his men to encircle Ashton’s car with their vehicles before descending with his men.
Fully aware of Ashton’s formidable combat skills after his son’s ordeal, Slater had brought his most trusted men from Staville.
These fierce and formidable men made any hope of escape for Ashton utterly impossible.
Flanked by his men, Slater approached Ashton with a confident stride.
Noticing Ashton’s unflinching demeanor, Slater taunted, “Scared? Stricken dumb? Realized you can’t escape and now want to surrender? How delightful. We won’t need to waste too much time.”
Without awaiting Ashton’s response, the assured Slater snapped his fingers.
One of his men tossed a baseball bat at Ashton’s feet.
Slater proclaimed, “We’ve heard you have ties with the Campbell family in Inewood. As outsiders, we prefer to avoid unnecessary conflict. Here’s your chance: break both your legs, kneel before my son, offer a heartfelt apology, and I might just spare your life.”
