Seeing Ashton’s mocking smile, Theo felt validated and grew even more boastful. “You know Liam from the Black Dragon Gang, right? He’s a well-known tough guy! But even he has to show me respect when we meet!”

Theo saw the anger on Liam’s face. He realized Liam had heard every word he had spoken. Shock appeared on Theo’s face for only a moment before he started begging for his life.

“Liam, I was just talking big. Please, don’t take it seriously!” he pleaded in a trembling voice, dropping to his knees. The only person on this land that Liam respected was Ashton.

Ashton had made it clear that he did not have a close relationship with Theo. With this in mind, Liam’s men did not hesitate. Before Liam could issue any commands, his men charged at Theo. They unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on him.

Amidst his cries of pain, Theo began to yell, “Liam, I know I was wrong, but attacking me is a waste of your effort! Aren’t you here to take over this construction site? Focus on your main objective. I promise I won’t meddle or disclose anything about today!”

Theo believed that Liam had brought his men to cause trouble primarily for Rosalie. Even as he endured the beating, he had anticipated that there was some unfolding drama.

Rosalie initially felt a flicker of sympathy and wanted to speak in defense of Theo. However, as soon as his words reached her ears, her face turned grim, and a surge of anger welled up inside her.
