Roger discreetly tripped up some of the attackers and secretly relieved much of the pressure on Ashton. Watching so many of his men fail to overpower a single person left Jacoby seething with frustration.

Finally, in a fit of anger, Jacoby grabbed a wine bottle and attempted to push through the crowd to take matters into his own hands.

Roger felt a surge of smug satisfaction as he secretly dealt with his nearby teammates. However, his attention was suddenly drawn to Jacoby, who was attempting to push his way through the crowd.

His eyes sparkled with a cunning idea. While pretending to help maneuver through the throng to reach Ashton, he used the chaos to his advantage, striking Jacoby from behind with the hammer he held, knocking him out cold.

After ensuring that Jacoby wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon, Roger discreetly signaled Ashton with a glance. He then gestured for his men to step back, avoiding any injury as Ashton moved in.

Thanks to Roger’s smart strategy, Ashton quickly discerned friend from foe, swiftly taking down Jacoby’s men with ease.

The crowd, who had been steeped in despair, stood in stunned silence as they watched the henchmen writhing on the floor.

A few onlookers, who had previously resented Ashton for winning Rosalie’s favor, now finally understood why. They no longer dared to harbor any illusions about her or challenge Ashton.

With Roger and his men still standing, the crowd remained rooted to the spot, not daring to act rashly.

Realizing he was drawing attention, Roger immediately pretended to be flustered and shouted to his men, “This guy’s too tough. Let’s pull our people back first and deal with him later.”

His men, feigning reluctance, agreed and began hauling the unconscious thugs back onto the larger yacht. Once Roger’s men had removed Jacoby’s crew, Ashton quickly steered the yacht toward the dock.

Meanwhile, Hayes, who had abandoned everyone in his cowardly flight, was still struggling to swim toward the shore, a self-satisfied smirk on his face.

He was certain he had made the right choice, imagining himself as some sort of clever anti-hero who had outwitted the others.

As Hayes glanced back, a smirk twisted his lips as he cursed those left behind on the yacht. In his mind, they deserved whatever trouble Ashton would bring upon them. He believed he was the smartest of the bunch. But just as Hayes turned around, he caught sight of a yacht speeding past him. His heart skipped a beat. Squinting to get a better look, he realized with a shock that it was the very yacht he had rented.
