To his utter disbelief, the people on board were all safe, standing on the deck, looking down at him with expressions of utter contempt.
Hayes was dumbfounded.
He had no idea what had just transpired.
Meanwhile, on the larger yacht, Roger had successfully dragged Jacoby and his men back onto the yacht and managed to dissuade the others from seeking revenge.
Roger told them that Ashton had single-handedly taken down their main force, and if it hadn’t been for his composed demeanor, Jacoby might not have made it back at all.
The crowd, recognizing the futility of their situation, had no choice but to heed Roger’s advice. They watched in silence as Ashton skillfully maneuvered the yacht away with ease.
Roger, ever calculating, estimated the time, guessing that Ashton was nearing the dock. Quietly, he reached out to contact him.
The moment the call connected, Roger spoke eagerly.
“Mr. Baldwin, it’s Roger. How did I perform just now?”
Ashton, intrigued, asked, “After your last operation failed, Jacoby didn’t suspect you?”
Roger quickly explained, “That time, I was accidentally injured by you. Afterward, the Black Dragon Gang kept showing up at the construction site. I told Jacoby we were no match for them and that I got injured because of it. To comfort me, Jacoby even took me out to sea for this party.”
Ashton couldn’t help but chuckle, realizing that he had indirectly set today’s events in motion.
Sensing an opportunity, he instructed Roger, “Since he doesn’t suspect you, stay close to him and monitor his movements. If you notice anything unusual, report it to me immediately.”

Considering Ashton’s abilities, they were convinced his identity was anything but ordinary.
Thus, Roger was genuinely willing to serve Ashton.
About half an hour later, Jacoby slowly regained consciousness, the haze of unconsciousness lifting as he blinked up at the dim light overhead.
Roger, ever the actor, had carefully smeared the blood of the others onto his own clothes, adding to the illusion of a harrowing struggle.
The moment Jacoby stirred, Roger’s eyes filled with fake tears, and he leaned in, his voice trembling with emotion.
“Mr. Marquez, you’re finally awake!” he exclaimed, his tone filled with exaggerated relief. “It was a nightmare! Our men… they’re all injured. It took everything I had to get you back safely. Mr. Marquez, that man… he’s beyond skilled. We can’t underestimate him. I think it’s time we come up with a plan—something to deal with him once and for all. Should we consider how to get some revenge on him?”
