Chapter 233
Chapter 233:
Jacoby slowly roused from his daze, his mind still clouded with confusion.
He couldn’t quite recall how he had passed out, but the sight of Roger in such a pitiful state triggered an instinctual response. There was no room for doubt as memories of Ashton’s arrogant demeanor flooded back, igniting a burning fury within him.
Grinding his teeth, Jacoby spat out, “Damn it! That guy ambushed me when I let my guard down. If I don’t get my revenge, how can I hold my head up in Inewood?”
Roger nodded dutifully, concern etched on his face. “But we need to come up with a plan. Dealing with that guy might not be as easy as we think.”
Jacoby sneered in response. “Does he really deserve that much thought from me? Once you’re back, have someone track his movements. With the power of the Sup Group behind us, crushing him will be as simple as squashing an ant. He only managed to catch us off guard with that sneak attack. I refuse to believe he’ll have that kind of luck again!”
Roger, though aware of Jacoby’s lack of strategy and reckless nature, kept his disdain to himself.
He faithfully relayed the message to Ashton as instructed. Ashton, however, hadn’t expected Jacoby’s approach to revenge to be so crude and direct.
He had anticipated a more cunning adversary, someone who might at least provide a challenge. Instead, Jacoby was proving to be nothing more than a minor nuisance. Still, considering the Sup Group’s influence, Ashton decided to take it seriously.
Quickly formulating a plan, Ashton instructed, “Go back and tell Jacoby that Rosalie and I will be dining at Modern Restaurant in two days. I’ll lay a trap for him there.”
After hanging up, a cold glint flashed in Ashton’s eyes.

The Sup Group’s aggressive tactics needed to be curbed, and it was high time their momentum was brought to a grinding halt.
Two days flew by in the blink of an eye.
On the appointed day, Ashton, who had meticulously prepared everything, met Rosalie at Modern Restaurant for dinner.
Although Ashton had already briefed Rosalie on the situation, this was like a date to her. She found herself savoring the rare moment, enjoying the unexpected intimacy between them.
However, just as they were halfway through their meal, a sudden commotion erupted outside.
Moments later, Jacoby burst through the restaurant door with a confident swagger, his entrance drawing all eyes to him.
He quickly zeroed in on Ashton and, with a wave of his hand, surrounded the table with a sizable entourage, effectively blocking any escape.
Ashton, having anticipated this exact scenario, couldn’t help but smirk inwardly. Indeed, a spoiled rich playboy like Jacoby was far too predictable.
Feeling supremely confident, Jacoby arrogantly propped his foot on the chair beside Ashton, a sneer twisting his lips. “You’re Ashton Baldwin, right? Surprised to see me? I’ve already done my homework on you! Last time was just a fluke; we were careless and let you slip through our fingers. But today, we’ve come specifically for you. Let’s see if you have the guts to face me this time!”
