Seeing the girl he admired laughing at him only fueled Duane’s rage, making him more aggressive. He clumsily got back on his feet, letting out a strange grunt before attempting to kick Ashton with all his might.
Ashton yawned, nonchalantly brushing aside Duane’s kick.
Before Duane could even react, he lost his footing again, crashing to the sand on all fours, resembling a helpless turtle struggling to flip over.
Just then, Vivian and her friends happened to pass by and caught sight of the entire scene.
In that instant, the beach was filled with laughter and amusement.
The beach was alive with laughter and sparkling eyes. Yet, amidst all the merriment, Duane felt a cold weight in his stomach, a stark contrast to the vibrant smiles of the beautiful women surrounding him.
He knew very well that those dazzling grins masked a torrent of derision and disdain directed squarely at him.
The sting of humiliation burned hot on his cheeks, especially under the watchful eyes of Vivian and Celia.

A fierce determination flared within Duane as he clenched his teeth and snapped, “Hey! Don’t move! My backer will be here any minute, and he will make you pay for your behavior!”
Ashton merely chuckled—a sound as smooth and cold as a winter breeze—showing not the slightest intention of moving. He sat there, unperturbed, as if Duane’s threats were nothing more than the empty bluster of a petulant child.

Duane, however, brushed off her concerns with a smug grin. “Oh, there’s nothing to worry about. My backer’s been making waves lately, taking over territory left and right. In Inewood, he’s like the underworld king. This guy is nothing compared to him.”
Vivian’s initial worry melted away, replaced by a glimmer of hope. Deep down, she yearned to see Ashton brought to his knees, groveling for mercy. She wanted to see him broken, his arrogance shattered into a thousand pieces.
With renewed determination, she commanded her friends to encircle Ashton, making sure there was no escape.
