Chapter 373
Chapter 373:
Collapsed on the ground, his legs failing him and covered in cold sweat, Ellis realized his critical mistake. His earlier bravado disappeared in a flash.
Abrial, too, seemed taken aback to see such an enchanting young woman representing Skyline Group. After a moment of stunned silence, Abrial scoffed and shot Ellis a piercing look.
Wordlessly, Ellis crawled to Abrial’s feet, his followers mimicking him, terror-stricken, all kneeling in unison. Before Abrial could utter a word, Ellis began to bow and apologize profusely, smacking himself in a dramatic display at the bustling airport exit.
Witnessing Ellis’ immediate submission, Abrial decided not to exacerbate the situation. She turned to Rosalie with a serene smile and questioned, “Miss Campbell, this man is one of my associates. Given his ignorance, could you possibly forgive him? Should you feel otherwise, please speak up, and I shall deal with them accordingly.”
Rosalie’s face tensed subtly, sensing something unsettling about Abrial’s stare, reminiscent of the unwanted attention she often received from men. Nevertheless, she regained her composure, convincing herself it was all in her head, and responded, “Let’s overlook this incident. I’m here for business with your company, not to stir up drama.”
Abrial kicked Ellis sharply and snapped, “Did you catch that? Miss Campbell has been gracious. Now, fuck off!”
Grateful for this unexpected leniency, Ellis thanked Abrial profusely before scampering away, leaving his shoes scattered behind him.
After Ellis and his crew had departed, Abrial turned her full attention back to Rosalie. She tenderly grasped Rosalie’s hand, softly caressing it. Abrial playfully tickled Rosalie’s palm with her pinky, casting a coy glance her way.
Rosalie, caught off guard by the intimate touch, quickly withdrew, seeking refuge behind Ashton.

Even Ashton, who was hardly an expert in romantic nuances, detected something unusual, and his brow furrowed in concern. Realizing her approach might have crossed a line, Abrial took a moment to reassess. She cleared her throat and averted her eyes toward Ashton, her expression cooling off significantly.
“Are you Miss Campbell’s assistant?” she inquired, her voice now detached. “My car has room for just two. Would it be alright if you rode with my bodyguards?”
Rosalie exchanged a look with Ashton, who gave a comforting nod. With the main reason for their visit in mind, Rosalie hesitantly agreed and joined Abrial in the vehicle.
As their host, Abrial took charge of the arrangements, promptly escorting them to a private winery for a discreet antique exchange meeting. When they arrived, the Carter family’s appraiser, Davis Bryant, was already waiting for them.
Rosalie, puzzled, queried, “Why are we here?”
With a gentle smile, Abrial responded, “We were told by Skyline Group that the Campbell family, known for their extensive partnerships, would send a representative. I’ve heard that the head of the Campbell family has a keen interest in antiques, and you’re working on a museum project. I thought this would be an ideal way to welcome the Campbell family representative. But I didn’t realize that they would send someone as young and vibrant as you. Had I known, I might have chosen a different venue, thinking it might bore you.”
